Large Snap Hoop for Pfaff/Viking Embroidery Machine

I quilt, so moving all of the fabric off and onto the machine can be a pain. The idea of this hoop is excellent, but I am not sure the execution quite what I'd like.The ruler stickers come with the hoop, and you'll need to line them up, measure and attach them. Seriously? At this price point? They all look a little battered when they arrive - I had one really bad one, and got a second one elsewhere that still had some scratches. I don't think the magnets are going to be strong enough. Not quite what they advertise.

At first I was thrilled with the hoop. It made hooping a lot easier. But don't believe that you can easily hoop a quilt or towels. The magnets aren't strong enough to hold thick items securely. I've started using binder clips to further secure the fabric, but sometimes the designs are askew because the fabric shifts. Maybe stronger magnets would help. Or a better type of clip. It can be an exercise in frustration, even on thin fabrics. I really want it to work, but I may give up soon.

Fabric can slip while handling the hoop during embroidery. This hoop has since been replaced by the "monster" snap hoop, which has much stronger magnetism.
