1999 F150 4.6L, and it worked for me.
How could I not review this at five stars? With only my meager backyard mechanic test(looking for pressure at the fuel rail after trying to turn it over... my guess was that at least -some- fuel should have spurted out once the valve was depressed if fuel was being pressurized) to take a guess as to the problem, I didn't want to invest $100 into a fuel pump that may not fix the issue. For this meager price (under $30), how could I not take the time to open the tank, look for debris (debris or it being gummed-up were two theories people were throwing at me) and replace the fuel pump while I was in there? To my surprise, the truck started up after this was installed! In many ways it looks OEM in quality - same metal base plate and such. On my 1999 I did have to use the conversion wiring connector that is shown in the picture. This comes with a few parts to fit many Fords - I didn't really use most of the kit. I didn't even use the 'boot' (so none of the three pictured), instead opting to use the OEM boot that was on my original fuel pump for no particular reason. The sweet thing is that they were kind enough to even supply hose clamps in this kit.Granted, five stars could mean it would last as long as the OEM pump... but for the money and aid to the diagnostic process for do-it-yourselfers... I'm fine with this even if it lasted half as long as the OEM one did.-----------For anyone wondering, with my 1999 F-150 single-tank I was able to reach up on top of the still-mounted fuel tank to undo the approx six (? I forget now) 8mm bolts with either a low profile ratchet and socket, or with an actual old-school 8mm wrench in the two tighter spots. One the assembly was loose I could now safely drop the fuel tank. I replaced the pump with the assembly still hanging from the fuel and power lines, then lifted the tank back up while guiding the assembly down into it. Far, FAR less of a headache than many have made this out to be (with many online stating that lifting the bed off was easier). I did have to siphon fuel out of the tank prior to lowering it, but that wasn't too bad since the top of the assembly was loose at that point. Note that you cannot fit a siphoning hose down through the gas cap - there is a ball inside that will block it.

Great Pump Kit for an excellent price!!!
This kit was a great deal at a fantastic price compared to what I was quoted here, unfortunately because the skid pad underneath my fuel tank which made the whole ordeal a nightmare to say the least. after I had replaced the skid plate and changed my fuel pump and put everything back up in place, I realized by simply removing my spare tire on my Expedition, there was almost enough room to do the whole thing by simply lowering the tank about 10" and doing everything from the spare tire position over the rear axle. So sweet after installing this, turning the ignition switch and my Expedition again roaring to life again. Everything possibly needed except the strainer screen was in the kit, including the proper electrical connection link to go from the small original end to the new bigger connector on the pump. Just order the new proper strainer at the same time as the new pump. Considering I ordered this kit for my Explorer, it fit my Expedition perfectly as well. Thank you so very much!!

Lasts about 5 years, then kaput.
This is the 2nd one I've purchased in 5 years, which seems to be the average life span. As with the first unit, it came with all the needed wiring and rubber dampers, O-Rings, etc. needed to fit my Ford F150. The O-Rings are good for show, but not close to OEM seals used in my Ford. Still a perfect fit when installed. Now if Ford and others would stop putting them in places where the exhaust and gas tank have to be completely removed, repairs would be easier when these pumps fail every few years. The MSRP is $132, but I often find them in the $25 range. The quality is okay, but not the same as OEM. Ford still overprices the Motorcraft brand, but it is better built and lasts longer. For an old 1999 truck with close to 300K miles on it, this suites my needs.

dont let the price steer you away this is a quality pump.
I was nervous at first to buy an aftermarket fuel pump, it has lasted several months so far. Normally I stick to using a fuel pump from the manufacture of the vehicle, but in this case ford wanted more than $400 for the motor craft assembly and would not sell just the pump. I figured with the price and how easy it is to get to on this ford e350 box truck I can keep a spare in case it ever fails, within the 5-6 months I have been using this fuel pump does not appear I will be needing the spare pump any time soon.In summary the pros are, price point, Fits perfectly in the fuel sender assembly.cons, have yet to find any, I will update review if this pump ever fails during my ownershipI defiantly will look towards Autobest the next time I am needing a fuel pump for any of my vehicles\Update 10/28/2017- Have had this fuel pump installed for a year and a half still going strong.

Save a lot of $ - do it yourself.
Fit my Ford F-150 pickup truck just fine. Didn't want to pay $90 for a part that shouldn't cost that much. The kit comes with a lot of parts, gaskets and mounts obviously for many different vehicle applications. Also includes a new gas line and two hose clamps. Instructions are minimal but if you can't figure this simple replacement out, maybe you shouldn't be doing this yourself. I removed the bed of my truck (2001 short-bed) with 2 friend to help me lift it off. That seemed much easier than dropping the fuel tank procedure. I found a good video on YouTube to review the procedure. The connector adapter supplied plugged directly into my existing plug so I did not have to splice and/or solder the wires. I used the existing fuel hose to connect the pump because it seemed to be in good condition and just used one hose clamp to secure it. The fuel strainer they sell to match is smaller than the original but seems OK otherwise.
