Flexzilla Garden Hose 5/8 in. x 50 ft., Lightweight All-Weather Water Hose, Durable and Flexible, Leak-Free Connections

I received the Flexzilla Utility Hose, 5/8 in x 15 ft (15.9 mm x 4.57 m), for use around my home, and after a week of daily tasks, here’s my experience. Design & Build Quality: The hose is lightweight (much easier to carry than standard rubber hoses) and highly pliable, making it simple to coil and maneuver in tight spaces. The bright yellow/green color is highly visible and feels durable, even when dragged across rough concrete. Performance: Flexibility & Pliability: The hose seems to be flexible in a range of temperatures and is easy to work with, even when cold. Unlike stiffer hoses, I could loop it around corners and through garden beds without much effort. Kink Resistance: While it does kink if twisted sharply, it recovers well and doesn’t flatten out permanently. I noticed far fewer kinks compared to cheaper vinyl hoses, but it isn’t 100% kink-free. Durability: After repeated use, the outer jacket shows no signs of wear or cracking. The drinking water safe certification gave me peace of mind if filling pet bowls. Fittings: Both end fittings are perfectly machined and connected tightly to my outdoor faucets and sprayers with zero leaks. The O-rings seated smoothly and created a watertight seal on the first try. Pros: Lightweight and easy to handle (2.7 lbs / 1.2 kg) Stays flexible in cold and hot weather Durable outer jacket withstands abrasion End fittings are exact and leak-free Drinking water safe Cons: Not entirely kink-proof—minor kinks can occur with sharp bends Slightly more expensive than basic hoses, but quality justifies the cost Summary: If you want a utility hose that’s easy to carry, resists kinking better than most, and comes with precise, durable fittings, the Flexzilla is a solid choice.

I use this to drain my water heater and works good, I don’t use it when the water heater is boiling hot, I shut it off and let it sit a few hours before I start draining. Hose gets warm but still good. Doesn’t leak and feels durable for use for draining water heaters.

This small lead hose has helped greatly in my trailer set up. It gives me plenty of room to add the Y adapter, the filter, then the long hose to the trailer. This hose is very flexible, but sturdy. Nice connectors

I am reviewing a year after purchase as I browse my past items purchased. As far as hoses go, Flexzilla really is one of the best options. Light and flexible, sturdy wall thickness construction, and great resistance to kinking. However, if you are familiar with hoses, air hoses, heavy gauge power cords, you know that one annoyance can be that they fight to remain straightened. If it starts getting twisted, the hose can feel stiff and put torque on the sprayer end. I suggest using in parallel to a 'Reel' type storage system, so the hose remains in its natural linear orientation. I gave 4/5 stars because after nearly a year of admitted regular use, the barb connection at the sprayer handle failed and broke away from the hose itself. I realized the barb was fairly cheap and only held into the hose by friction and minor crimping of the rubber itself. Ideally this would be more of a 'Permanent' joint. I repaired it easily nonetheless with a readily available hose repair clamping joint (TIP - If you ever have this happen get the repair clamp with two solid metal halves that compress the hose. Don't get a worm gear clamp or you'll be avoiding the sharp metal tail all the time).

I own a commercial greenhouse and as a result I use a lot of water hoses. Most of the hoses that you can find in the box stores are made of a material that is really stiff and over time becomes more and more rigid. They also have the habit of developing a permanent kink if you kink the hose a single time. The way our hoses lay in each aisle in the greenhouse means that they will regularly kink. This hose is wonderful because the material is tough but it never becomes rigid. The hose remains flexible even as it ages. My favorite thing is what happens when it kinks. When a kink develops you simply pull the hose gently tight and the kink pops out. There is no permanent kink that forms. I would recommend this type of hose above all others. You will not be disappointed with it. The connections, a major area of concern with other hoses, are made out of a good material and no water leaks from the hook up to the faucet. At the user end of the hose, there is a thick collar of heavier poly material that serves as a hand grip to keep the end of the hose from kinking if you have a water wand or some other implement attached to it. The sleeve keeps the hose from dropping down at a sharp angle and kinking the hose at the hose outlet. I think you will be pleased with this hose. I use hoses year round and am giving this review from my own experience with using all types of water hoses over the years. Buy it and give it a try. I am as picky as can be with water hoses. This one certainly meets my approval. PS. I forgot to mention this earlier. The bright neon color of the hose is nice if using this in a yard or garden. If you forget to roll it up when you or a mowing service is preparing to mow it is very easy to see laying in the grass. Therefore it might help to save your hose from being chopped up by the lawnmower if you do forget to roll it up.

One of the best hose I've ever used. I have a professional exterior cleaning company and i have very picky needs and one of them is the high quality hose which doesn't burst, king or give any headaches. I went through at least 4-5 brands and types of hoses and always found them too stiff, not resistant to kinks, burst, or simply are poor quality. This one? Absolutely best and brilliant hose. Perfect balance between all best features that hose should have. Only big thing you should know is that you need specific type of connection and being in the UK it is not standard which is followed by hard to find.

Ok. The hose does kink initially, as others noted, but once it’s laid out it seems to relax. Doesn’t have the easy connection of the traditional green Flexzillas either. The black sleeves at the end serve little purpose that I can see, and are flimsy vinyl. The fittings are, as someone else noted, cheap plastic, not brass. Will keep it, but will not buy again to replace other hoses. (Yes, I have many hoses. I am the hose queen.)

Durable, Flexible There is one thing I would like to remind to customers. That is on the fauct end of the tube, there is only an O-ring. When I connect the tube to the faucet, it is still leaking at the connection. I just add a hose washer on top of the O-ring. There is no leaking at all.
