Colourful, fun and challenging but not tough from a teachers point of view.Good as a curriculum summary for teachers wanting to broaden their teaching for non-native speakers.

四歳半の娘が毎日少しずつやっています。カラフルで飽きのこない内容で、大変良い教材です。preKから続けて、簡単な本なら読める程度にまでなりました。

This is a great series. I am currently out of the States, and needed something to help my daughter along with English while she studied in a foreign school. This is a great supplement while we are away from the states.

My son is growing up in Japan and going to Japanese school We have been using these BrainQuest books for some English study time every day, 30 minutes or so, along with the Bob Books series (fantastic!) and some other reading material, and stuff I make up for him to study.I often find fault with everything! This book certainly has a few mistakes and one or two design decisions I don't like. But volumes K and 1 were very very good, and 2 is almost as good. We will definitely buy the remaining ones as needed.Examples of what I don't like:-- science worksheets falsely explain clouds as an example of water vapor. In fact they are liquid: water droplets.-- spelling pages in volume 2 have you spell words that the student won't necessarily know, or know how to spell. Most of the workbook is better: they TEACH you something before testing you on it. On the other hand, this is only a dozen or so pages out of 100 or 120+.-- we LIKE the American-centric pages dealing with money, nice and exotic, because my son has never seen them. On the other hand a page showing the Statue of Liberty and asking what liberty means to the kid seems a little overly patriotic or something.Although not perfect, I will buy them all I think, and really like them and would recommend the series to anyone.

日本の小学校に通わせながら、子供たちを家で英語の教育をしているママです。これまでいろいろな教材を使ってきましたが、このワークブックは、オールカラー、レベルは基礎的ですがシラバスが多岐にわたっていて、大人も子供も満足のワークブックでした。価格も手ごろでうれしいです。小学校１年になった次男は英語の読み書きが苦手ですが、この本をあっという間に全部終えました。３年になる長男は読み書きが得意ですが、内容的に飽きないような楽しい読み物ばかりで、理科や社会も学ぶことができました。学期はじめにこのワークブックで基礎を固め、次にもう少し難しめのに挑戦していく、そのように使うといいと思います。

息抜き的にやっています。アメリカ独自の事柄(お金や州の事など)は抜かしてやるつもりです。
