I orders the 30 inch because the 24 was too short for me and I like to be able to put the chain over my head and on my neck with out having to unlatch it. Plus if you wear it with a collard shirt it becomes a little shorter so 30 was perfect for me and can be layered with a 28 inch chain if you like that look. The latch is awesome and Super sturdy with no worries it's going to come off unless you press the 2 safety buttons.
