I used a special translucent glass epoxy grout and the tile installer wasn’t familiar with the product so didn’t clean properly. The haze was quite noticeable and actually there were smudges of leftover epoxy on my glass tile. Initially when I used the non-scratch Brite pads but then I switched to the green coloured scratchy ones and that works great. The key is to not let the solution dry. You apply and then for 15 minutes kind of scrub in gently and then at the end of 15 minutes give it a good scrub and then wash off with the damp clothes and then dry out immediately with a paper towel. Very pleased with the result. Review: Worth it! - Being a DIY’er I decided to tile my own shower. After grouting, I was devastated think that all the hard work I put into it went to waste for it to look the way it did. I couldn’t find an epoxy haze removed at any local hardware stores so I ordered from here. One of the best decisions I’ve made in a while. It does requires some scrubbing, but if you let it soak for at least 15/20 minutes it’s much easier to scrub. Next time I run into an expose haze, I’ll be using this for sure. We used an acrykic grout and cant seem to find a specific remover** A: Sorry, I don't definitively know the answer to your question. I used a polymer grout but the product wasn't very effective in removing grout haze, at least on porous concrete patio stones. I've tossed the bottle so can't review the directions but I don't recall that the directions indicated which types of grout the product could be used on. My understanding is that acrylic is a polymer so ???? I plan to use muriatic acid to remove grout haze which I've done successfully in the past but it is a little dangerous to work with and can etch brick and concrete products if not careful. But, only on outdoor projects. And, to be fair, the grout was a little more than just a light haze. Finally, I think the product is somewhat pricey. I am a DIY person and used this with the Armaly pro plus sponge also from amazon to clean a project one year later that I thought I had ruined with a beautiful tile job because of the grout. Apply this with a natural bristle brush then "scrub" with the sponge or/and hard nylon bristle brush for thicker haze areas to loosen debris during the 15-30 minute wait time. The excess will come off if you stick to it. So if you are like me and thought you ruined your project because of the epoxy grout mess try this. There was absolutely nothing I could even find locally that has come close to this and yes I have even tried acidic treatment. Make your project look like a pro, finishing with a final wipe with a towel or rag literally leaving little to no grout haze to clean after. This works great even on old thick! Haze that has been on a year. This made the nightmare expectation into a doable job. Remember if you are new to epoxy grout separate your activator or simply use what you have only in small amounts. It goes a long way towards removing your panic once it starts drying and you see all your haze left to clean later.
