how thick is this tape?

Hello. The Xpel Door Edge Guard roll is 0.5" wide. The film is 8mil (mil not mm) thick.

Will this tape follow the curve of fender flares when the tape is taped to the fender first, so that the flare is touching the tape and not the fender

Yes. This is exactly what I used this tape for. Seems to be working well.

How do separate the backing from the tape. Is there a trick to it? I can’t get to sticky side because it won’t separate.

Hello and thank you for your question. Removing the backing paper can be slightly difficult at times. We would recommend using a finger nail at one of the corners and try to wedge it between the film and liner. If you do not have nails you can also attempt to use a thin blade, like on a knife. We have also been told that you can use your teeth. To do so you would need to insert just enough of the film to get a grip with the front teeth and bite down just hard enough to hold the film in place, then move the teeth from side to side. This will help pull the film away from the backing paper. We hope this information helps.

Is shipping really 1-2 months? That seems a bit long unless it is supposed to be 1-2 days.

I received mine in about a week. With the virus, everybody updated their shipping times to be months. I am in alaska and have had to wait no longer than 2 weeks for anything.

目立たなくて良い

透明で二重張りすれば大概の傷には耐えれます。ドアエッジなら擦れる場所でもないし純正や社外のプロテクターの付いてる感じが嫌でもしも失敗しても傷ついても張り替えれば良いし質感も良いテープと考えたら高いけれど用途を考えたら安いと思う。

ちょっと貼るのにコツがいりますが、何台分あるんだよ！ってぐらいの量ですので、失敗しても気兼ねなく張り直せます。傷防止にはなりますが、衝撃防止にはなりません（当たり前ですが）。もう少し安ければいいんですけどねぇ

Best to get a precut for your specific vehicle and slip it on or get let the pro do it. It did not look nice. Just wasted my money.

Perfect for door edges

This is perfect for door edges, if you are patient, slow and careful it's reasonably easy to apply. I would recommend cleaning the edge of the door you're applying it to with some surface prep (or a mix of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water) to ensure the edge is clean of wax or other product that may prevent this from sticking properly). Wax or other products may build up on the edge that this leaves on the door but will prevent most nicks on the edge of the door from making contact with a rough surface if the contact is gentle.

Great edge protection and easy install

Love this stuff! I originally thought it would be a real pain installing it but boy was I wrong. Easy install and looks great! The edges on one side is a little rough but I just put it on the inside edge. Sticks well to the car and forms to the curves well.
