Unsure why my washing machine experience was so bad...
Having read promising reviews, I bought an ebac from an Amazon seller for the convenience of fast delivery, at a time during covid when, I'm told by ebac customer services, demand for their washing machines was so high it would take 6 weeks for delivery.We took delivery of a 9kg machine, plugged in and ....nothing except a buzzing noise and an error message. Not great, but hey, things happen, so I called ebac, who went through their script to identify the error. I mentioned the dent at the top of the unit sustained after leaving the factory may have something to do with the problem. Unable to resolve the issue or offer me a replacement, I contacted the ebay seller to request a replacment machine. This they did promptly. The replacement machine arrived soon after. I unpacked, plugged in ...and nothing happened. To my disbelief, it threw the same error, made the same buzzing noise and had the exact same dent.At this point I requested a refund and rang ebac to confirm if, by some mistake of advertising, I'd bought seconds. Ebac confirmed both machines were brand new.So what was the problem? I'm not sure, but don't want to risk an ebac purchase. Sorry ebac. I really, really wanted to believe in your machines but my confidence is shot.
