On the way back to the launch, i was just slowly trolling on the 8hp yamaha kicker. All of a sudden, the boat starts to go in circles. I purchased this item to replace an old used piece and works great. Would definitely buy again

using for steering 9.9hp outboard and so far no corrosion after 4 weeks in salt water

I like these! There is one thing to be aware of. There are O-rings that are loose in the socket. So when you take these off the engines the O-ring can fall out. They’ll still work without the O-rung they’ll just rattle a little. I solved this by putting a tiny bit of 3M 5200 on the O-rings to glue them in. Time will tell if they stay in place.You’ll want to order 3/8 NF 304 stainless all thread rod.

These work fine but wear out quickly.

I've had the non stainless version for a few years but have to de-rust them a couple times a year due to salt corrosion. These should solve that issue.

The media could not be loaded.  Not as advertised. Paid for two. One was sent. According to tracking it was shipped near me in Washington State then shipped to California then back to original origin then to me. Got delay messages for days and then was only sent one.

A perfect solution for helm steerage of the kicker. Trolling or, in The emergent disability of the main outboard. Buy the stainless steel rod as well, a super quick and clean installation.. Very happy....Tight Lines!
