Bad product. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere
Purchased this camera about a month ago and was excited to get it out after reading all the good reviews on it and the fact that I’ve been having some bad luck with the last few Moultrie cameras that I’ve bought. Checked it after 2 weeks and out of about 500 day time pictures between the hours of 8am and 6:30pm only about 15 of those picture we’re in color. The rest were all black and white. Contacted the browning customer service and told them this and sent them pictures and was told that if it is in too much shade it will take black and white pictures. Was told to put the camera in more sunlight to see if it would still take black and white photos. Brought the camera back to my house and put on a tree in the yard and took pictures. Got a black and white picture and a color picture. Sent the picture to browning and was told that it still looks like there is shade in the picture and that could be the cause of the black and white pictures. It was 5 pm on a sunny day in the middle of August. Are these cameras meant to be put on a post in the middle of a field??? I understand a camera taking black and white photos in low light situations early in the morning and right before dark, but I’ve never owned a camera that would consistantly take black and white photos during the day. Yes my camera is in the woods but at 2 o’clock on a sunny afternoon it is still plenty light to take a color photo. I’ve had a Moultrie camera on the same tree for the last 3 years and never had a black a white day time picture between the hours of 8am and 6:30 pm during the summer. I was told that I could send the camera in for a warranty repair. Sent the camera in and received the same camera back with a letter saying that they could find nothing wrong and to put my camera in a place that gets more sun. While my camera was sent off to get looked at I put one of my Moultrie’s on the same tree and guess what, no black and white day time photos. So what I’ve gathered from browning is that these camera are meant to be in direct sunlight in the middle of a field if you want to get color photos. Or maybe if I’m lucky when all the leaves fall off the trees, I might get a few hours during the middle of the day where it would take color photos in the woods. Very disappointed in this camera. Not worth the money at all.

Defective, no quality check on this product
It doesn’t work out of the box. I have 3 Reconyx trailcams and they are awesome but expensive. Saw other reviews and thought I would try this. Very disappointed, when I turned it on the first thing I noticed was the setup screen was updside down and then the text did not fit on the screen completely. I could not actually enter setup to configure the settings. Tried a few times but clearly it is broken. Browning must not do any testing on these before they send out.Sending this back and will spend the money on a Reconyx.

Day good, night not so good.
When shopping for a camera, the most important thing is the sensor size. The sensor size determines how blurry a photo will be for fast action and low light situations. Not a single trail camera I looked at has the sensor size in the specifications. And as far as I can tell they all have super tiny sensors. Its also very difficult to get the number of pixels. Interpolating a 4MB picture up to 16MB does not increase the photo quality; It is just a 4MB picture using the storage space of a 16MB picture. Really wish specifications would show the number of pixels on the trail cameras. In reality a 4MB photo would be fine, if the sensors were bigger than the size of a pea.The pictures on my browning trail camera seem on par with every other trail camera out there. So daytime shots look good. Night time shots are grainy. And if the animal is moving, the night shots are blurry. Motion detection is good; very few pictures with no animals. The range does go close to the advertised range (which is about 20 feet in from the woods in my photos), but night shots are very poor at the distance.I give this camera 4 stars, which is relative to other camera reviews. I'd give it 2 stars if there was a decent trail camera available. If someone sold a trail camera with a 1/1.7" or 1/1" sensor, that would be the frosting on the cake. Even a 1/2.3" sensor would be an improvement.

Compact size Easy to use Small screen to view where your camera ...
This small trail camera has taken the place of my much bigger cameras. After reading many reviews, I made the decision to go with this model. My main concerns was the ability to function in inclement weather. I have had two cameras fail during the negative temperatures of the north. This cameras has flawlessly taken pictures during rain, snow, and below freezing weather. My last camera (only a year old) used to eat batteries during the cold. In the past there has been times where I can see tracks by the camera and to discover that there was no pictures taken. This Browning camera has taken pictures of my neighbors horse in full gallop.Pros:Compact sizeEasy to useSmall screen to view where your camera is pointingVarious camera modes and optionsHigh quality pictures and videosTime lapse is fun to useCons:Small screen is to small to really avoid having a card readerI personally don't like the memory card being on the bottom of device

Doesn't meet high expectations
I bought two in the past year. I usually set out my cameras for six months before I can get back to them. One camera is at a cabin in Montana and I haven't been able to check it yet. The other I set in a national park in September and it was destroyed in a forest fire in December, but I was able to salvage the images from the card. False triggers from wavy grass filled up the 32 Gb card within four days, 9,200 images at medium 8 Mp resolution. Of the images that actually contained a subject (human and elk), it appeared to me they were extremely oversharpened. There is no way to adjust sharpening. If the Montana camera gives better results I will amend my review. This camera is very highly rated by TrailcamPro but they do mention what they call "pixelation" which I would call oversharpening. They didn't have a problem with false triggers.

Excellent quality creating wildlife videos you can proudly share!
Absolutley wonderful camera, the best I've used by far. The low Glow is excellent, the camera adjusts the light power inteligently so your subject isn't burned out in the middle of the shot.I get best results on lower quality video settings, for some reason the grainy noise in dark hours is hugely exagerated in the highest quality videos, although this is common to every trail camera I've used.I like that it only uses 6 batteries as I can check mine regularly, I change my rechargables fortnightly and mine probably records about 1-2 hrs of video a night.Definitely worth the investment, much much better than cheaper cameras.

Trail Camera
Easy to set up, clear pictures and can be located anywhere. Cheaper ones do not do the business

Sold as new - not new at all - returned.
Couldn’t believe that this item arrived boxed but was clearly not new when opened (birthday gift)! Mud in as card slot... panels of camera and rust on metal parts.

Awesome camera, wrong battery info on Amazon
The size of this camera is shocking, very small for the features it has. It is very straight forward to use and the user manual makes it even easier explaining the different features it has. One thing about this camera specifically on Amazon.ca is that it DOES NOT take CR123A batteries like it says in details and features, it ONLY uses 6 AA’s. I recommend the camera but don’t buy the batteries it suggest, the owner manual recommends lithium AA’s.
