Truly soy-free supplements are hard to find, but this is a soy-free Vitamin D3; I have a soy allergy & this is one of the best D3 supplements I've been able to find & I've been using it for several years with great results. The price is very reasonable & I like the quality. I can really feel the difference in my energy levels when I take D3 and when I don't. Keep in mind a few caveats when supplementing with Vitamin D3: 1. ALWAYS keep track of your D3 levels via BLOODWORK. You MUST make sure you don't overdose on this vitamin (it actually acts like a HORMONE). Educate yourself on proper levels for optimal health BEFORE beginning supplementation, as this is a powerful vitamin with many cascading effects (it can affect blood sugar response, mood, calcium levels, bone deposition/density, skin health, and much more). Bloodwork can also let you know if your levels are too high or too low, signalling that you need to increase or decrease your intake of D3. This can be done conventionally at a conventional lab (via phlebotomist) or at home by mail ("blood spot" tests). I try to test mine about every 6 months. 2. It is advisable to concurrently supplement with Vitamin K2 to prevent over-calcification (this can be an issue for tendons AND arteries). Research this thoroughly! I've had great results with Healthy Origins products and have recommended this D3 to friends and family for many years; it's a foundational supplement for me & I highly recommend it!

I bought this brand because of the good reviews and have been very pleased with them. They're easy to swallow, have no flavor, and keep my Vitamin D levels where they should be.

Great product took forever to get

The pills are a liquid gel type pill and are durable enough to put up with the humidity of a bathroom closet and the heat of my gear bag in the car day in and day out. Though I did recently throw the silica packs from a few other supplements I recently finished off into the bottle. I dosed myself 1 pill a day over the winter and have backed it off to every other day for the summer but am contemplating just going 1 a day year round anyway because of how little outside time I get even on my day off. I take this as part of an attempt at healthier living and as I work in a windowless world 12+ hours a day and often only have 1 day off per week I figured it would be helpful to get more vitamin D in my life. I started taking this over the winter and I have to say the health benefits appear to be there. I usually get at least 1 cold a year and a couple of decent sinus infections this year has seen very little in that realm no cold to speak of and the 2 sinus infections I did get were weak and not as long lived as usual. I cannot attribute this directly to my D3 supplementation but it's my observation and belief as that's about all I had changed until spring when I started supplements to improve my sleep.

Package intact - pills inside impossible to detach from each other, completely melted. Obviously they have not been left in dry place but rather a humid hot place.
