works very well for plants as well
This distiller does what it’s supposed to — produces clean distilled water. It’s especially helpful if you have plants that are sensitive to tap water minerals. It does take a few hours per cycle and makes some noise, but nothing extreme. Easy to clean. Great alternative to constantly buying distilled jugs.

Brilliant..!
Excellent product! I make a gallon every other day. Bought this vice spending ~$300 more to replace a reverse osmosis device ~ which was a GREAT decision. This distiller produces better water than a reverse osmosis process. I have an electric countertop steamer for food in daily use, and the distilled water for it does not leave any internal residue, making life considerably easier. It takes me 5 minutes to start a gallon session, and the unit continues unattended. The downsides: the plug from the upper unit to the lower unit is bothersome; be sure to check that the fan is blowing after starting the unit. And the stainless steel cup at the outlet attachment to the upper unit is troublesome; take care not to knock it loose.

Cheaper and more convenient.
We both use CPAP machines and we only buy distilled water when we are on a road trip. We have had this distiller for almost 2 years and it is still working great. We do try to remember to turn it off before it runs dry so that it is easier to clean.

Does the job well
Just purchased this distiller. Works well, takes about three hours per gallon. I got this for my carnivorous plants, which need pure water, no tap water or minerals allowed. The price point made sense because Zero water filters get VERY expensive, and I use about a gallon a day in the wintertime keeping the plants which need very wet conditions (bog plants, mostly). I also keep a couple freshwater aquariums, and use deionized water a *little* to make up for evaporation sometimes. Bog plants generally live in an acidic medium (peat), and fish like things neutral in terms of pH, so I checked. (My tap water is around 7.8) I had problems measuring pH with a pH meter, and when I used a chemical testing kit, it came out VERY acidic, around 4.5 pH (6.5 - 8.0 is a good neutral range). Maybe okay for the peat bogs, not so good for the fish. The problem with using a meter is that there are NO minerals or salts left, and really pure water is a very poor electrical conductor, so the meter had problems making an accurate reading. (A single drop of an aquarium chemical called "pH Up" in a gallon of distillate was all it took to bring it up to pH7.5 and no added mineral content - TDS=0) So, just beware that if pH is important for some reason, check to make sure you know what you end up with. I know it's a strange thing to focus on, but it took me by surprise and I needed a little research to figure out what was going on. Might save someone else the hassle. The machine works great.

Distilled water cheap
I have been using this everyday for a little over a month, I keep it in the garage as it is very noisy, its operation is great, I have to agree with many of the other reviewers and ay do not let it auto shut off, it is a lot harder to clean when you do, I get about 1.5 gallons each run of 4-5 hours

Toxic petro leaching silicon seal.
Has petro toxic leaching silicon seal in the top unit. Bought it cause stainless steel. To purify water, wo chemicals, wo plastics. Clean water. Bought it to detoxify and clean water. What a trash. They just can't help themselves, to ruin a product. Water Steam contacts the silicon seal, silicon plastic Leaches petro chemicals, spews micro and nano plastics. Sent to trash all of the other included silicon seals, the adhesive glued carbon filter bags, plastic tubing. But the top unit needs the silicon seal to work. Yeah it's huge. The glass Carafe w stainless cover now screws. 900 watts. Its all amazing compared to the smaller units. But the silicon seal trashes any benefit of using the unit. Don't know if the cost, electricity, huge time to distill, cleaning, offsets the toxic seal. Or maybe just use tap water is better.

No more white dust! Save money, not time
Saves us money but takes up time. We strictly use this for our humidifier. So this review is going to be based off that. Before knowing and understanding why you’re supposed to use distilled water in humidifiers, we were living in a blanket of white mineralized dust in our home, not knowing it was from using filtered water in the humidifier…I know…you’re thinking what dingus doesn’t know this. This one right here…when they say to use distilled water, they mean it. And now I know why. The whole time we thought our home was just that dusty and even after cleaning it all up we would continue to have it. Again…I know how it looks and sounds. BUT now I know and we were buying a ton of distilled water until we learned we could just distill our own water! Now for the nitty gritty. The distiller is fairly noisy. I don’t mind it because it’s just white noise in the background. It seems to put out around a gallon of water for us. Sometimes less. It takes 3.5 hours to distill this amount. So depending on how patient you are, you’ll want to consider this. We basically have this thing on all the time to give us enough water through the winter for our humidifiers. It does save us money in the long run, including calculating costs for electricity. Just doesn’t save on time. It’s tedious. Not going to lie. But, it’s simple to use and clean. Comes with citric acid to get build up of minerals in the distiller out. It looks clean and sleek on our counter, but it does take up space. So, if you don’t mind taking up some of your time. This is great. If you don’t want to live in a blanket of dust, also great. Apparently you can also make wine with this per the instruction manual which is cool to know, but I’m not going down that route.

Efficient and very practical!
This item is amazing, I use it for my steam vacuum, essential oil diffuser, Vicks sinus steamer, neti pot, and homemade baby wipes. It’s very straight forward, I scrub it out after each run to ensure the next run will be clean! And it holds a lot of water! Saves me from buying so many gallons of distilled water!

Use this product everyday. Works well. Only improvement would be a glass rather than plastic water collector container.

This works well and is easy to operate - the small jar of citric acid for cleaning had solidified so I was not able to use it but is not a big loss . I ordered some more . I can’t position the spout to line up with the metal cap for the container so I am not able to use it . I’m wondering if there are better instructions to help . They have since replaced the spout for me . It took a long time to get here but it fits well . I used this for 6 months , to distill water for my humidifier then I cleaned and stored it until now and when I used it again it leaked all over my kitchen . I filled it again and it leaked again . I can no longer use it . There are pinholes in the tank .

Background : I have used the unit for the 4 days, and so far the unit has produced 7 gallons of distilled water. Water quality is pretty good. I have not done a chemical analysis / PH level test, but it did pass my taste test, and test for Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). I will update the review in a few months. Pros: 1. Seems to produce a gallon of distilled water in about 3.5h as advertised. 2. Water sealing ring is tight, no leaks so far. 3. Produces water that is tasteless, and by all means drinkable. No white residue on furniture when used in an ultrasonic humidifier. 4. Fairly straightforward to setup and operate. The thermal cut off works. No issues with overheating (so far). Cons : 1. The instructions are auto translated from a foreign language (Chinese?). Readable but a bit confounding in places. 2. TDS is above 0 ( 3 samples, the lowest has been 003 see picture). My Zero Water filter can produce water at TDS 000. I will retry after a few more cycles to rule out issues. Very drinkable / usable in the humidifier, but I am not sure it can be used for home electolysis (not my use case) 3. Fan is pretty loud for my quiet condo. I do not have a db meter at hand. Overall: Happy to rate it 4/5 after 4 days of operation. Will update review in a few months or on product failure/ water quality regression . Water quality is acceptable for my usage so far. The residue left in the water evaporation chamber is rank, I am glad it's not going into my own system.

I began using Vevor countertop distiller in May 2025 three month later the top fan stopped working. Three month is not enough for the distiller to work! Costomer service is terrible. Vevor is not avalable to support it's product. They sending me email responses asking me to attach files but files do not get attached to their response window provided. After I take a picture or a video I get a comand to attach a file as if I didn't, over and over again. I bought distillers before but this is my first time dealing with a seller who doesn't help to resolve the problem. Do not deal with this seller unless you are ready to loose your money.

I use this regularly to distill water for my CPAP machine & iron. It has saved me money & many trips to the store. NOTE: I use a little CLR to clean it instead of the crystals provided, since I already have CLR in my home for other cleaning tasks.
