What batteries are needed and are they included? Thank you** A: Batteries are included its 3 cell batteries. **Q: Is the mirror glass or plastic?** A: Funnily enough, until you asked I hadn't given it a thought as I thought it was glass especially as the mirror is vastly superior (much less fogging and more clarity) to another dental mirror I have which is obviously plastic. So I just now went to check, by trying to scratch the mirror. And the result.......it's plastic (but as I said earlier, of good quality). And having that LED light is a Godsend. I hope my answer was helpful? Regards **Q: Does it 'fog up' obscuring the image? If so how long do you get before this happens? Thank you** A: Yes, it happens and it will depend on the temperature of the mirror. The colder the mirror, the quicker your breath condenses on it. I've noticed the same thing happening at the dentists's surgery where he/she just wipes their thumb across the mirror before placing it in your mouth again. You can slow the fogging down by holding your breath as the more you breathe on it, the quicker it fogs up! Unfortunately, there isn't an easy answer to this. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect little tool. Does exactly what it says on the tin. *by H***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 November 2020* =================Why did I buy this=================The reason I bought this was because I had a small cavity at the back of my top front tooth. I obviously couldn't see the damage of it by using my normal mirror or even getting someone else to take a look was priovidng difficult. I knew that I needed something like this to take a look in all the places I couldn't. It was also during early days of COVID therefore getting to a dentist was near impossible so I had to get this mirror to be able to temp fill in the cavity with ease until I could see an actual dentist.=================My intial thoughts=================When the tool arrived it came in a small box and it was easy to open. Batteries already fitted and ready to go I was able to use it immediately out of the box. It's very light and built well. There's a small rubber button on the front to turn on the small but powerful flashlight as well as turn it off. As soon as I got that turned on I went to my mirror and was easily able to see the cavity that was paining me the last few days.=================My thoughts now=================Battery is still going strong and I managed to get my cavities fixed recently but I still use it to check my teeth from time to time just for sanity sake. It's a great tool to use just to check everything is okay inside your mouth!=================Conclusion=================In conclusion, it's worth every penny. It's not going to save you a trip to the dentist but it might bring you some calm knowing how your teeth are doing. Highly recommend! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and works! *by V***G on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 December 2020* Excellent product. Easy to use. Lights up and doesn't mist up! I use so I can ensure I've cleaned pockets around back teeth properly, only wish I'd bought one years ago.Press button down firmly for light to stay on. Tilt is just right, handle easy to hold and use.Arrived next day, packed well.Highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Good but could be better *by V***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 February 2022* This is generally a good dental mirror, what could be better is if one didn't have to continually press the switch for the light. If you have weak hands, as I have, this isn't the greatest experience while trying to move the instrument around your mouth. If it had an 'on/off' switch, that would be better. One other minus point is that while it says it's waterproof, the battery cover comes off too easily, so I'm really not sure how accurate that is.The light is very strong - occasionally a bit too strong if at the wrong angle, but then it's an LED, so I guess that's expected. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/74707952-dental-mirror-with-led-light-mornwell-dental-inspection-mirror-oral](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/74707952-dental-mirror-with-led-light-mornwell-dental-inspection-mirror-oral) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-30*
