Follow the instructions and it works great.
Clean the area with isopropyl alcohol. Wear the gloves that come with the product. Open the chemical soaked packet with the cloth inside, then wipe the area. Do not get any of the chemical on your skin or eyes, as it mentions that it can be toxic. Wait 5 minutes, then place the rubber door seal strip. I used some scissors to cut them to appropriate sizes. I noticed that when I followed the instructions correctly that the adhesive on the rubber seal was pretty strong. I tried closing/opening the door after placing each rubber seal to test if the door would close completely. After placing the 3rd rubber seal, I noticed that the door wouldn't close anymore. So I could only apply one on the side and one at the top of the frame. There's still a small gap. I'll need a different, smaller seal to cover that part. After installation: it makes a peeling noise when opening the door as it forms a tight seal with the rubber. It does dampen noise, and completely blocks air flow where applied. If the rubber was softer, or not as thick, maybe I could've applied the 3rd rubber seal. But, it's durable at least.

White version does not block light
This product fit my door frame perfectly. It was easy to work with and went on easily. The adhesive feels nice and strong. It completely sealed the doorway, and it totally helped with sound transmission, but, it did not block out the light at all. It was shocking how much light it let through. I got the white one to match the door. Maybe the black works better. I wanted to write this review in case anyone expects to block light. At least the white version will not do that at all.

Doesn't really reduce the noise
Good product for temperature but a little insufficient in reducing noise and you'll need buy another plastic if that is your objective however has good glue and it comes with more than I need it

This was better than I expected.
This appears to be a very well made, high-quality item. Time will tell if it does the trick for me. I'm using it to reduce the sound that travels from my laundry room to my hallway. In the past, I installed closed-cell foam (twice) from a home improvement retailer. Both times, the foam wanted to migrate away from where it was installed, so I thought I would give this a try. So I cleaned up all the old adhesive (with a citrus-based cleaner followed by isopropyl alcohol) and purchased this item. But, whether or not this works for my installation, the product gets five stars. It came with a pair of disposable gloves and two prep pads. I'm not sure what the solvent was for the prep pads but isn't wasn't simply isopropyl alcohol. The prep was recommended for plastic, but I used it on my painted door stop nonetheless. The adhesive is strong, but you can resposition it right away if needed. Another reviewer commented that their door would no longer close after installing. In all likelihood the issue is the door striker, which is easily remidied, sometimes without even removing the screws; I know I had to perform this task when I installed the foam which I removed. I would expect that this would equally as well on an entrance, vs. interior door.
