Returned this and upgraded to LTE version
I've had Garmins and Fitbits only in the past and this is just a huge, massive upgrade. Love the customizations that can be done with the watch too with the cool looking bands and faces that I bought separately on Amazon. I've had it for a year without any screen protectors and it's been durable enough that it's held up well with very little wear and tear on it, but I'm wise enough to use protectors for it now. My only complaint is the battery. It's a bit disappointing that the battery barely lasts a day. I've had to buy 3 chargers for it. One charger for my car, one for work, and one for home because this thing dies fast if you plan to work out with it and use it all day. Still, I love this watch.

Great for Water Sports!
I have had a Samsung Galaxy watch since they first came out. My first one is still going strong, but I needed one that would track my activity in the water, since the majority of my activity is water related. This watch is great for that! It has been in the water with me now almost daily for weeks and works like a charm! I have an app that will automatically set the watch to the water mode, or I can set it myself. It counts each step, stroke and workout moment - and seems to do so accurately. The size is a nice upgrade from the earlier versions, being slightly easier to read. All my apps and information were easily transferred to this new watch, making the transition seamless. It doesn't vibrate quite as strongly as my last one did, so I miss a notification here and there, but since my phone is never more than a few feet away from me, that really isn't an issue. Time will tell if it lasts as long as my first watch did, but I am really so impressed with this watch. To me, it is worth spending the cash to have the added assurance of counting my water activities.

Love my watch !!
I'm normally a regular watch wearing person but have been contemplating on getting either an apple watch or samsung to switch things up, I finally switched from apple products to Samsung and decided to go all out with the samsung tech and I couldn't be happier. I love the size , the appearance, battery life is good. I literally have no complaints. I love how sleek and elegant it looks regardless what band you have. I also love all the features it has. Calling, GPS, wifi ,accuracy , notifications and more. Super happy

Great smart watch
I ordered this watch because my fitbit suddenly stopped working. I honestly was just going to get another fitbit but decided to look around at other options for smart watches. I primarily used my previous watch for tracking my steps, sleep, and golf play time, but the selling point to this watch was the additional apps that I get access to. I use 18 Birdies when I golf and this watch is compatible with that app. I haven't used it yet since I just got it last week, plus it's been raining every day, but I can't wait to test it out. I also go to the gym and listen to Spotify when I'm working out. I can connect my headphones to my watch and listen to music. I'm still learning so much about this watch but so far I love it. I did have to turn off the AOD after I got it because it was draining my battery faster than I wanted it to. The reason I dropped a star is because the battery life is decent but not great. I have to charge it daily, but I do like that when it's fully charged I get an alert on my Samsung phone to prevent overcharging. I'm a very petite woman and ordered the 40mm. I was afraid this might be too big for my tiny wrist but it really isn't. I honestly like the size and don't think it's too big at all. Overall, I'm really liking the watch and would highly recommend it to anyone who may be on the fence about getting one.

Overall quality smartwatch battery life could be better.
Overall I'm happy with this watch that seems like they're phasing out some features for this particular device. But it tracks my heart rate throughout the day among other useful features. If you're wanting some of Samsung's more advanced features you should probably just go with the newer watch. Capable of Samsung wallet meal tracking water intake. Definitely get yourself screen covers and a case especially if you work Outdoors.Messaging it's kind of tedious using this I mainly just use it to look at incoming messages at a glance. Call qualities decent but the volume is kind of lacking in my opinion. As far as battery life goes I find myself charging in the morning and evening you just charging the evening but the battery get pretty low as I reach the end of my day and sometimes with die before I get home . Battery takes between 30 minutes to an hour to charge depending on how low you let it get. I'd wait for this one to go on sale if you're going to pay full price I'd get the newer versions.

Awesome watch
Watch is nicely designed and easy to use. The apps are great and the set up is seamless with the phone. Audio seems good. I wish there was a smaller watch face but overall its a great investment.

A great watch for the money
Great watch a lot of information but you have to charge it once a day. Otherwise I love it I need to take the time to go through everything it does. Very comfortable to wear

DO NOT Buy! Failed within 15 days; Support SUCKS! Overpriced, Go Watch 7
BOTTOM LINE: if you don't need the 3 Labs - Advanced Glycation End (AGE) product index, the Antioxidant index (does not work anyway), or the Vascular Load, ***Go With the WATCH 7!*** If you do get a watch 8, return it to Amazon as soon as it screws up! Watch 8 #2 is now "inching up" on its O2 measurements. At first, it was 2% points over my Innovo FDA-Approved O2 device. That's okay, because as long as it was consistent, I could deal with it. Now, it is 3% over my Innovo -- My Watch 8 #1 and Watch 7 did the same. I hope this is not a harbinger of failure. It also must be tightened down painfully snug at night. Oct 14, 2025. Bought new watch 8, now Watch 8 #2 I am riddled with inflammation, so pursue antioxidants. I take 3 supplements twice a day. Yet the Antioxidant index stays low. Farce. ****************************** Below is the Watch 8 #1 Oct 10, 2025 - Samsung refunded cost Sent it in a second time. Kept checking (two weeks) and nothing. Finally, Samsung offered a refund. Not for the tax, of course. Awaiting refund. Sep 26, 2025 Already Failing with Same Errors Was on the phone forever with Samsung, being fobbed off on every department imaginable. I bought a Brand-New Watch for $350, and they "repaired it" only to have the same problems! I am so mad I could chew a horseshoe and spit nails. I wish I'd never bought this thing! If you are stupid enough to buy it, return it to Amazon at the first fail! It is not YOU! The sensor array is P-poor and it fails. I miss my Watch 4. Sep 25, 2025 Samsung repaired the watch under warranty. It wiped out all trending in the app. "New" watch still has "blanks" in its monitoring (picture). Samsung says, "wear snugly". It is already so snug it hurts (picture). Furthermore, the "O2" monitoring is 5% MORE than my commercial O2 monitor. I guess I have to go back to wearing five different monitors that are correct. Sep 15, 2025. The watch has become worse. I will contact Samsung under the warranty. Anytime I get sweaty, the watch stops tracking on the wrist! I'm skinny - BMI 20.2. It's a fitness watch, for God's Sake! One expects it to work when you are sweaty! But no - it stops tracking the heart rate and the oxygen level. This is not at all what one wants in a Fitness tracker! Aug 31, 2025. The watch has developed issues with tracking heart rate. I was walking - spanking pace - and the watch stopped tracking my heart rate. I stopped for a directed measure. It said "put your watch on". I took the watch off and cleaned it, and had same result. I finally rebooted the watch and it worked again. I DID NOT have this problem with the Watch 4. Aug 5th, 2025. Anti-oxidant scan doesn't work right. The scan kept saying low - eat a carrot. Three days of carrots and it is still low. Also, I tried to take another scan and the software kept saying "Put your watch back on." - but the watch WAS on. Too many bugs. Aug 2nd, 2025 My initial review wasn't accepted; I am unsure why. I hemmed and hawed about Watch7 and Watch8. I went for this Watch 8 due to features. I am very disappointed. First, I have many Samsung-branded chargers. I was very disappointed that the Watch8 band would not allow the Watch 8 to work on the flat chargers. I guess you could put a weight on the watch, like 2 lbs (!) to press it down, but I believe Samsung should have designed their Watch8 to be compatible with its supporting chargers. See first pic. Second, this is a 40mm watch. I compare it to the Watch4 and the Watch 7, the only others with which I have familiarity. The Watch8 face measures 40mm, but the display is smaller by 2mm, making it a 38mm display. I cannot at this time comment on durability as I have had it three days. Color is personal choice. EDIT - Watch began failing before 30 days! I thought it was me. Functions. The Watch8 is extraordinarily bloated by location-tracking bloatware. I do not do use email, bixby, wallet, etc. from the watch, but it will not allow me to uninstall these apps. Furthermore, every app tracks your location with precision! I have no idea why outlook would need location, for example. The Watch8 has the same processor as the Watch7. Comparing it with the Watch4, I do not see any difference in performance. I would have expected better. The new Health features are AGE - Advanced Glycation End products. Not sure what the low - adequate - high means, and there isn't a lot of information on the web. It also does the antioxidant index - very low - low - adequate. I tried the recommendation --- eat carrots. My value did not change. Lastly, is vascular load. It is supposed to an indication of lifestyle factors affect on your health. Basically, get sleep, exercise, and good diet. Shrug. The Watch8 is supposed to have a better battery. However, I do not see the Watch8 lasting any longer than my Watch4. I still charge the Watch8 at my noon-ish nap time, and see the Watch 8 is down to 66% at noon, and again down to 66% at night, after having been charged at noon. If I could uninstall some of the not-used apps, it may be better, and maybe not. All in all, after seeing all the additional tracking and inability to turn it off, the questionable value of the new "features", the failure to be compatible with industry and brand standard equipment, I wish I'd gone with the Watch7.
