I’m so thankful for this! I have numerous home cassette tapes from my childhood that my family had made. I was going to purchase a tape player so I could listen to them when I discovered this which is even better! It was simple to use, I just added batteries and a usb flash drive. Now my cassette recordings are on my pc, where I can back them up and archive, as well as share with the rest of my family! It did the job and I’m pleased with digitizing our old memories.

I needed to retrieve an audio clip from an old cassette. This item did exactly what I needed it to and I managed to save that clip. It works exactly as described and records directly to a USB drive, with no additional software or processing required. The quality appears to be what you would expect from an item at this price point. How long it will last remains to be seen. Given the low price I am completely satisfied and expect to use it as long as it works. If it fails, I would probably purchase it again.

Thank haven’t done too much yet, but this is exactly what I needed. I found a cassette of my son from 1997, when he was 2 and needed to preserve it.

Worked initially until I moved it. It never recovered. Bad sound, you could hear the player spindles running.Absolutely the worst. Don't buy!

The sound through a boom box is awesome. Two highest energy batters are required to power for more than two runs of a cassette. I do not know how many runs with these types of batteries. Converter, therefore, does not obtain its electrical power from the boom box. The connection between the boom box and the converter is only to transmit the sound. My use of the converter, I believe, is very unusual. I gave three stars for durability because it has not yet failed, thank goodness. RMN.

It does the job very good. I have few hundreds of my childhood cassette need to convert to mp3 for my child. It is not very smart. You will still have to push rec to start converting and push again to stop it. You will have to take out the cassette and turn it for another side.
