Great mochi
This was the second brand of mochi we tried. The first bag/brand we ended up throwing away because the taste was horrid. These were much better and will be our mochi brand for here on out.

Yum!
I always have loved these! Especially with frozen yogurt! I donβt remember these tiny pieces though they were a tad bit bigger and more consistent but still good!

My boyfriend's favorite mochi
My boyfriend has tried several different kinds of mochi's on the market, but these have become his favorite of which I will order as gifts for him or as a treat. Have ordered multiple times and our go too brand on Amazon

Tastes like home!
Love these alone or on top of frozen yogurt! Very fresh and tastes like what I get when I go home to Hawaii π

Too Much Cornstarch/Rice Flour
I first bought this product about 6 years ago and the quality was amazing but this time the mochi was COATED in way too much cornstarch/rice flour half of the contents in the packaging was just the cornstarch/rice flour. The mochi itself was a little too squishy as well, the overall quality has gone down a lot π

Delicious!
These mochi rice cakes have become a regular order in my home. They are mildly sweet - not overpowering - wonderfully gummy without being sticky, and make a great addition to desserts. My daughter likes them on ice cream. I mix them into yogurt to add some chewy texture and a touch of sweetness. They stay fresh for quite a while and the soft colors are very pretty. As long as they keep selling these, I'll keep buying them!

What happened??
Honestly, these used to be my favorite candy. When I took the product out of the amazon packaging I was shocked. Not worth the price-I think the company may have changed hands or are trying to boost profits by offering less mochi and adding more powder. I bought these last year, and they're simply NOT the same. I noticed on the package they added a label that states "Corn starch is solely used to prevent bunching". Well my dear artisans, the candy isn't up to par. The candy is as another amazon buyer said: sweeter but not in the best way, and absolutely COVERED in powder.I feel silly for not having taken pictures. My trash bag is completely powdered now. The cornstarch they are using "to prevent bunching" probably weighted about 50grams out of the 300. I could see the outline of the mochi, but nearly no color they were so coated! I had to use a wire sieve to even get to the candy, and they're still "shedding" cornstarch as I am eating them. I'll try again locally and see if they have the same problems.
