I wish I'd found these years ago
I bought these to complete my raingear, but I'm finding they're best at keeping my feet warm. I'd tried shopping bags, foil, double socks, wool socks, waterproof socks - I did not microwave my shoes. I wore these over my regular shoes one night for their reflective material and my feet have never been so warm on a cold day. I have not had them out in a steady rain yet. I'm sure they'll work fine, but I'll update if anything changes.

Works as advertised
Not the most durable if you start walking around with it too much, but it is easy to take on and off, protects from rain and wind, adds warmth to winter cycling.

My feet are sufficiently dry
This shoe cover works pretty well. It isn't fancy or overly expensive and does the job.

Pretty good, but ultimately disappointed
Used for commuting to work, wearing over a variety of street shoes. Size 47-49 XL fits over my US 11.5 jogging shoe, also fit over my clunky steel toe US 11 tennis shoe!I like the fit and cut, bright color and reflective great on rainy days.Could use more of the soft fuzzy side of velcro attachment in back to provide more continuous seal. It is not continuous, so there are gaps (see photo) which could let water in the back.Initially, I give these a good rating, 4 or 5 stars. But for longevity I downgrade to 3 star. After 3 years of ownership, used maybe 5-10 times, the interior plastic waterproof coating has fully peeled off (see picture). My last trip was a fiasco, as shoes were soaked and full of water when I arrived at destination.I ride with toe clips, straps extremely loose. First ride with these gaiters the small section under toe area got caught on pedal when I tried to pull foot out. Now I pull out one foot well before coming to stop to avoid mishaps. The toughness of shell is good, I like the reflective strip down back. The key weakness is the durability of the waterproof layer which peeled off and made these useless after 2-3 seasons of relatively dry climate and minimal usage. If they could increase thickness or robustness of the waterproofing laminate, these would be great. As is, I am checking out other options as replacement.

Daily commuter in Portland, OR
Had these for six years now, and despite my initial doubts about the bottom strap wearing out, they keep on working. You have to buy according to shoe size, and the chart is European, so Google a comparison to get the right size.Putting them on isn't too difficult, and they are fully waterproof. I've ridden in very, very hard rain, and my shoes and socks stay dry. I really like the reflective strip on the back as my commute is often in the dark mornings or evenings in winter.I warm up quickly, so I usually ride with a rain jacket, mountain bike shorts and waterproof shoes. Even though the elastic top is fairly snug, I do get some leakage from rain water running down my legs, so I carry some spare socks if it rains so hard they get soaked. When the gaiters are tucked into rain pants, shoes and socks stay very dry.Since they're open on the bottoms, if you ride through a big puddle, you will get wet! Duh.Highly recommended.

what size?
I like the concept for this item. but I cannot tell what size shoe it would fit. Despite velcro straps, it is way to small for my size 15 shoe.
