The Green Lanterns are known for having an array of unique members from species across the DC Universe, but many if not all of them owe a great deal to these two: Kilowog, whose trained 100s of Lantern over the years, and Earth's own Kyle Reyner, who carried the torch for a time when he was the only lantern left. The last time I saw a Kilowog figure was years ago as a build-a-figure (b-a-f), and even on the secondary market could be expensive. However, THIS figure is just as good if not better. My memory of the b-a-f is fuzzy, but compared to what I remember this McFarlane figure is much more proportional and detailed. I mean, he's basically pulled from the comics. What's more, as a big fan of the GLC, I really want to get figures representing some of my favorites, and Kilowog was a big priority. However, price and general availability were big obstacles. This set clears those with room to spare. It's not just about Kilowog though, as Kyle is depicted nicely as well. McFarlane produced a figure of him previously that . . . didn't quite get the right shade of green. This time, however, they nailed it. Kyle sports his classic 90s costume that really set him apart from previous lanterns and evokes his own unique style, as do the construct accessories that come with him. These two aren't just a great pair or a great set, they are the diffinitive versions of these characters for me and my collection.
