PopSockets Phone Grip for MagSafe, Magnetic Holder - Latte Suck-Up

This pop socket is great, but it literally grips to any surface you put your phone down on. Maybe it needs a little cover, so you only use the grippers when needed. I usually have a phone cover that I buy from a company that has a special loop on the cover which I love, but I love this pop socket even more, so I haven't been using the other one. It is also great in the car when I need my phone to be visible to me driving for map purposes it sticks right to my screen.

The idea of this is great, but unfortunately it has a few major flaws. I’ve been through two of these- one fell off because the magnet is not strong enough, and the other broke completely. For the price, I’d expect a lot more. The color is great though, and the idea would be perfect if it actually worked!

I was wondering if this would hold a kindle on tiles (like bathroom or kitchen) to read when showering, cooking or doing dishes... it does. It is very sticky in smooth surfaces. Removing it from the wall was the hassle because it was very stuck. To safely remove it just remove the device first by pushing sideways so the magnetic base is no longer aligned to the magnets on the case. Once you remove the device from the pop-socket then remove the pop-socket from the wall\tiles by lifting from the sticky ventoses and it will pop away without damaging the base.

Great in Principle, but if you leave facing down anywhere, the suctions will stick and since the MagSafe is not as strong as the suctions, it will detach from your phone! Unfortunately I lost mine because of that!

Admittedly, I felt a bit too old for a silly purchase like this… but it ended up being one of my most practical purchases. Being in a long distance relationship, I naturally spend endless hours on FaceTime every single day. This saved my wrist and made FaceTime fun again! Now I can FaceTime my boo in the shower, in the car, at work… it sticks to anything flat/non porous. Side bar, be careful not to yank it from the top portion or your phone because the suction is strong enough that the two pieces will pull apart. With that said, it is fixable! I used the long skinny side of a hair comb and inserted it into the tiny holes and out the bigger hole at the top… stretching it enough to slip the suction portion back on.

3 month update: I don’t think it’s worth the $30. The suction cups end up ripping and then just completely coming off. As soon as they start ripping they no longer suction cup on anything. See last photos. Absolutely love this thing! It came with an extra mag safe sticker incase your phone case doesn’t have one. I love having the option to take it off, I hated pop sockets leaving residue and not being able to change them. This is a 10/10 for sure! It sticks really well to most services, it does come off the phone when pulling it from the window or whatever it may be but honestly it’s not that big of a deal. It shows you its sticky

The product itself was great but the way I recieved it was unacceptable. I paid extra for a brand new one and still got shipped a used open one. If this was meant as a gift I would have been completly embarrassed and upset. The pop socket sticks and I dont wanna wait for a new one so I'll keep this one. Also if youre trying to sell something off as new be smart and remove the 2nd sticker. Completly unimpressed.

Extremely dissatisfied! I ordered this and it arrived in a broken box, not in original packaging and with a return label on the box. I open it and see the pop socket with suction is completely broken so it is unusable. I buy lots of products from POP SOCKET and this has never been my experience before. I am appalled this was shipped out like this. This has me rethinking using their products moving forward. I went to return it and described how it came, and I get a message I may be charged for the damage if i return it. I have reached out to customer service but this is absolutely terrible for their business. What a huge disappointment.
