This is a nicely sewn cotton flag, advertised as 'antiqued'. Well, yes. But the antiquing throws off the white stripes in the flag. Looks like it was dyed in coffee.I kept it because I wanted it up by the 4th of July and it looks nice from the road, next to my BLM sign in the window. Just beware of the antique feature, if that isn't what you are looking for.

A beautiful flag initially. But if you use it on a porch where it can be exposed to rain, as I and the product pictures do, you'll find it fades within a summer season. Ultimately, it ends up looking like a slightly careworn and mildly stained flag; still acceptable but far less attractive than originally.Also, the tab you use to attach the flag to the collar on the flagpole is strangely positioned. It holds the flag as expected but it's attached to the flag itself about 2-3" below the edge of the flag. As a result, if the flag is displayed at an angle (~45 degrees in my case) then the weight of the flag pulls it away from the top of the flag pole and the edge of the flag folds back somewhat. You end up with a 3-4" gap between the edge of the flag and the top of the flag pole, and the top row of stars is slightly compressed. It's not impossible, but it's also not what you'd expect from the marketing photos.If you are hanging this horizontally and indoors, then it will live up to your expectations. If you are hanging it outdoors at an angle, you'll be initially delighted with the look but ultimately just "living with it." It's not off putting enough to get you to replace it, but it's also a mild, ongoing irritation when compared to your first week or so with the flag.

The flag is very cool. The antique finish works well on our 1922 vintage home. The brass flagpool bracket is heavy duty. The weak link is the flagpole. It is not mahogany. It is probably some variety of pine with a mahogany stain. One of the two pieces was bowed/warped. Exchaging it would be a hastle so I kept it. Over all the flag and flagpole look great on the front of our home.

The honest truth about this product is that it is beautiful! The flag is well made and a proud addition to our family. The pole however is not. After only one week displaying the flag, the wood around the pole connecter split/broke away from the connecter. The wood is not hard-wood therefore cannot take the weight of the flag.I will purchase another pole but it will be metal.The box indicated that the mounting bracket was adjustible however it is not. It's a fixed bracket with only one position and exactly like the one pictured here.We purchased this product because it's made in America hopefully by Americans who by the way have no control over the integrity of the woods strenth.

Bought this for use in my son's Eagle Scout photographs--which I wanted in black and white. My son carried this flag and the pictures turned out amazing--the vintage colors and texture of the flag are really nice. Up close looks tea-stained but from a distance, vintage. LOVE it.

The flag is nice. The "brass bracket" for the flag pole is clearly plated and not solid brass, which was disappointing. The flag pole had a sticker "Made in China" on it, whereas the package is represented as "Made in America." The little hook at the end of the pole for mounting the flag is utterly worthless and there is no other hook to hang the lower half of the flag. I have reconfigured the set-up mechanism with other hardware, which is okay because I'd rather have my set-up. So, some good, some not so good, and some lame. For the price, though, it's worth it if you have some ability to re-work what you've gotten.

Great set

Well I didn't want to rely on all of the other reviews regarding this product, but call it an impulse buy. My birthday is flag day, June 14, and I wanted to buy myself a birthday gift, and show my patriotism at the same time. I am an amazon prime customer, and ordered it rush 1 day shipping on June 12, paying an additional 3.99 for delivery, on top of my already prime status.Went to the store on my way home from work, bought some scotch guard, and couldn't wait to open and mount it for my birthday. I open it up, and the end cap is destroyed. I am convinced that it was wrapped and shipped defective, as there was only one piece that broke off that was in the box,which was sealed tightly. So, while it was broken, I was still determined to not let it ruin my birthday, and was going to glue the pieces back, and salvage what was left of it.While I go to unwrap the rest of the stuff in the box, I take a look at the flag, and it looks rather small. So while I ordered and paid for a 3'x5' flag, rushed shipping one day delivering later, I receive a 2'x4' flag, and a broken pole, all for $53.... Now for my flag day birthday, I won't be flying ol' (made in the USA) Glory, I'll be packing and resending this back. Maybe this is why we ship all of our stuff overseas these days. Sad when we rely on Pakistan to deliver quality.Frank
