We are so pleased with this gate we ordered a second one! It is very well made, very sturdy, looks nice in our home, easy to install, very detailed instructions, easy to open and close, we could not be happier. We like the fact that it closes on its own if you don’t open it all the way so if you have something in your hands you don’t need to close it, just let it go and it closes on its own. Or if you want to leave it open just open all the way and it stays open. This came with very good instructions. We measured our door way and found our measurement in the chart provided and knew exactly which parts we would need for our size doorway. I can’t speak of how sturdy it would be if a dog or toddler pushed on it as our 30 lb Australian shepherd dogs don’t challenge it at all but just putting my hand on it and shaking it slightly, it is very secure. Once tightened, the gate doesn’t flex when pushed, and the auto‑close feature is great for safety. If you open it fully, it can stay open instead of swinging shut every time. The door swings both directions, which makes it easy to walk through depending on where you’re coming from. Width is adjusted by adding extensions and tightening the pressure mounts, and once everything is in place it feels very secure. It also includes banister mounts if you need to attach it to a railing instead of a flat wall. I used a small 2x4 to adapt it to my banister, and it worked perfectly. For stair protection, this has been a reliable and safe option.

Can use extra extensions from the same model to expand the coverage (purchased two gates, used one to cover a 30" door opening, and then employed unused extensions to cover a 55" stair entry). Comes with larger end caps to accommodate baseboards. But be aware; if baseboards are not flat, be prepared to trim or add a custom shim.

If the latch does not align correctly during installation, I found that adjusting the side tension screws usually solves the problem. The top and bottom latches need to be evenly aligned with the frame for the gate to close smoothly every time. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. The gate feels secure, functions well, and offers excellent value for the price. I would definitely recommend it to parents looking for a sturdy and easy-to-install baby gate.

This Gate is a must-have when it comes to babies and toddlers. Extremely easy to install. The material seems to be metal. Approx. 1m high. Definitely high enough for toddler to be safe and secure. Great lock mechanism - easy for parent, hard for toddlers! Very stable.
