TowelSelections Turkish Cotton Waffle Bathrobe Kimono Waffle Robe

I absolutely loved this robe when I bought it 2 years ago. The quality was fantastic for the price and the lavender color was perfection. I decided to replace it because my concoction of skincare stained the neckline, but the new one they sent me isn't the same item! The fabric is thinner, which is evident by the shallower waffle design in the photos. It weighs nearly a pound less as well (which could be a good thing if you want a really light weight one, but I wouldn't count on it to be as absorbent). I'm so disappointed that I can't get the same quality as last time!

I read a lot of reviews that said this robe was huge. So, I purchased the size I thought I would work, figuring if it was really large, it would fit my husband. (I bought the Navy since that's the color he would want. It's a nice navy.) I bought the L/XL. I'm 5'3" and about 210. I haven't washed it, so my thoughts are based on how it fits out of the bag. Quality: The fabric is neither thin nor thick. Since it's all cotton, it's a bit heavier than the one I used at a resort, which isn't a negative for me. I wanted all cotton for its absorption quality.Sleeve Length: Yes, the sleeves are really long--I can turn them up twice to cuff them; alternatively, I may decide to hem them. Length: This hits me near the bottom of my calf, which is exactly what I'd hoped based upon other reviews. Waist: I wouldn't want it any smaller because I can still overlap it enough that even if it shrinks, it will be okay.Bottom line: I'm happy with my purchase. If my husband doesn't want a robe like this, I will keep it. If he does, I will buy a different color since I don't want the robes to match. Hope this helps.

EDITED: After washing w/fabric softener - this is like another robe! Added another star. Fresh out of the dryer, it IS like a spa robe, cuddly & almost fluffy - the waffle-weave is lovely & almost plump. Definitely wash & use a fabric softener (or dryer sheets) before wearing!!As described - nice color, comfortable, much roomier than I'd expected (I'm 5'9", 150 & the L is quite big on me, but it'll do!). Not as soft as anticipated, but certainly not coarse. I've seen several comparisons to robes from spas - I would not make that comparison by any stretch. It's a fair enough robe, but I'm glad I kept it for myself & did not give as a gift. That is all.

I needed a summer robe, mostly for drying off after a shower. The fit is roomy and the blue color is nice (as I expected from the picture). The fabric is medium weight but not clingy, with a nice waffle weave. It should do well at letting moisture evaporate. The only problem is the sewing of the robe. After one wash and no wear, one of the belt loops is already frayed. I'm not sure the seams of this robe to hold up to daily wear and tear.****Update: I have been using this robe regularly for over a year now. The fraying on the belt loop caused no problems and did not get worse. The sewing in general is fine, the robe is comfortable, and I am very happy with it. Revising from three to five stars.

I was pleasantly surprised when my robe arrived. I wasn’t expecting the quality of it compared to the price. I ordered the L/XL and it is a very generously cut. It is a bit longer than a mid length robe but not as long as a full length one. The sleeves are quite long, but I just made one fold and it looks like they are cuffed. I am 5’7” and typically wear an XL in shirts and blouses. After having tried it on, I would be comfortable in ordering a size down. I do like the roominess of it though. I washed it prior to wearing it as it had a slight odor… not offensive, but a strong “new smell.” It washed up beautifully. There was no fading that I noticed, and it was much softer than when it came out of the package. If it shrank, it was so minimal that I didn’t notice it. I love this robe and love the color. I would definitely purchase it again or myself or as a gift.

I am so pleased with this robe. I am a large woman, 6' 2" and about 185 (or so :-) ) pounds. This robe was exactly what I was looking for to replace my old, worn out robe of (dare I say?) almost 20 years. We have to watch our pennies pretty closely, so I needed a robe that would work year-round for me in all four seasons. We live in central Missouri where the summers are stifling hot and the winters can be brutally cold. This robe is an absolutely perfect weight - heavy enough, but also light enough. In all honesty, it's a bit large on me - PLENTY big - but that's okay, as I'd rather it be a little large than too small. I ordered the Large/X-Large size. As mentioned, it's large on me, but I'm really happy that for being such a tall woman and having a hard time finding clothes long enough, this robe hits me right about mid-calf or a little shorter, just below my knees. I ordered it in the Blue Moon color which my significant other really likes on me. I have blue eyes and he says the color really brings out the color of my eyes. I could not be happier with my purchase!

First the good things: the fabric is soft (or as soft a textured cotton will be), the robe seems to be of good quality, and it washed well. The robe did shrink some, but that's to be expected and I was actually trying to shrink it. Sleeves are the perfect length - not so long that they trail into everything, but not so short that you get cold. I also like that this robe isn't as short as many women's robes. There are no inner ties, but it stays right where you tie it so I don't think that's a downside at all! Also, the grey color is muted and nice.Now the bad: they sent me the wrong size (a M/L instead of a S/M) and it is *very* big. I kept it anyways because I needed a robe and did not have time to ship it back, wait for it to get there, then wait for a new one to come to me. Since this robe runs big, I think sending the wrong size is kind of a big deal and if I had more time, I would for sure have made a fuss. I am a 5'9" tall woman, size 6 - 8 (so, a small to medium) and so you wouldn't expect this to be that big on me, but it is VERY large and could easily fit my larger husband. I washed and dried on hot, which did shrink it some, but I still look a bit like a girl in her mother's robe. I would go down a or two size if you are between sizes and be ready to ship back to exchange.So TL;DR: good quality robe, poor quality control with shipping

Liked the material. Washed and shrinkage was minimal. Ordered XL. It is a man’s Xl. Too wide at the shoulders and too roomy up top. Keeping it. Will order one for hubby and smaller size for me. Very happy with the quality. They recommend no fabric softener or sheets as will break down fibers. I did for the first wash and it is now soft. I like it as it is heavy enough you can’t see through it. I got the color purple and it is very pretty. Would recommend. Arrived with very few wrinkles and they hung out on a hanger after one day.

Just OK. Three stars because for Turkish made cotton, I was hoping for something thicker. Also the arms are unusually long so I have to fold them. The waffle pattern is nice and the colour (lilac) is nice too. A bit pricey for what you get.

Bought the blue robe - very pretty color, however; while this claims to be 100% cotton, it is not. Rough material, definitely not 100% cotton.

Comfortable, well made and very nice looking

Fit was good. Sokes up the water like a towel. Not as heavy as expected. Compares to a decent mid level hotel robe. Very impressed
