Very nice pan. Flat, light weight, reasonably nonstick and well made.
This pan is a good value for the money. I ignore the marketing hype about titanium as I'm sure it really has nothing at all to do with the performance of the pan. Titanium is a poor conductor of heat and it is kinda pricey stuff, so there can't be much of it in a frying pan at this price point. That being said, this is a good aluminum nonstick pan with a machined bottom, riveted handle with silicone grip, and a perfectly flat and non-clad bottom (it doesn't need to be clad as aluminum is a very good conductor of heat). The weight is relatively light considering how well it performs. The cooking oil doesn't pool on the outside edges of the pan as it is perfectly flat on top and bottom. The beefy rivets in the sturdy stamped steel handle are clearly not going to loosen up or cause problems. The comfort handle is pleasant to hold. I wouldn't change anything about the construction of this pan. The nonstick surface seems a bit textured, which is odd, but in initial use seems to work well enough. The texture did trap and smear cheese on the surface of the pan slightly, so it isn't quite as nonstick as a smoother surface would be, but maybe that textured surface will help the coating to perform better in the long run. We will see. The cheese did pop off with a poke from a silicone spatula, so it's not the end of the world there, but a smooth and brand new nonstick surface wouldn't have let cheese smear across it like that when my intent was to get under the cheese with the "sharp" end of the silicone spatula instead of smearing it.

Tramontina user and lover for years; first time using T-fal and NOT disappointed! It's great!
I've been a tramontina fan for years now. I've been using their 12" and 8" non-stick aluminum fry pans for general purpose use for ages and have most of the sauce pans and stock pots (all the way up to the VERY massive 24", which I use for huge batches of chicken or smoked turkey stock when I have enough bones). I recently switched to induction and gave away my 8- and 12-inch aluminum fry pans which had some life left still, and picked up the 12-inch T-fal steel fry pan on the new induction surface. It's a very flat, nice and thick and heavy bottom. Great ergonomics on the handle, great nonstick capability, heats evenly (tested with a temp probe) across the surface and VERY quickly with induction. Over all, VERY happy with it. I wrote a nearly identical review of the Tramontina 10-inch, and basically copied and pasted my review of the T-fal since my testing results, and therefore disposition, are nearly identical. :)

A must have for Induction cooktops
Great pan. Have owned several T-fal pans similar to this one. I have an induction cooktop so I needed the steel to make it work. This one didn't le t me down, works great and love the larger size

The cooking surface is not completely flat.
I like just about everything about the pans except that both pans have a flat center section on the cooking surface but there is a depressed edge around the center that acts as a gutter. When trying to cook eggs, if you get the egg too close to the edge, it drains some of the white into the 'gutter' away from the egg. The gutter may be helpful when cooking something greasy as it will channel the fat away from the subject. The cooking surface is great, nothing sticks and the center temperature indicator frees me from putting water in the pan as an indicator for low temp needs. Just hope they last. That's why I only gave a mid mark on durability since I don't know yet.

Confirmed to work on induction cooktops - holds heat well and cooks evenly
As I moved to a new house with an induction cooktop, I had to get a new heavy-bottomed 12" skillet to replace the heavy-bottomed stainless steel one I had for 20 years that had too much nickel in the base. This pan fits the bill. It cooks evenly and holds heat very well. Cleanup is very easy. Any scorches you can just boil some water, scrape with a plastic turner or spatula and wipe clean.

It is what it is, and that's just fine. Works great on induction.
Honestly, this pan is just what is advertised - a heavy induction/conduction plate fused to a (fairly thin) stamped stainless steel pan, with a T-fal anti-stick coating. We have an induction range, and have an All-clad d3 stainless set of cookware that handles most of our browning, sautéing, braising, etc. needs, but when I need that truly nonstick pan for low-fat eggs, drippy grilled cheeses, or just want a quick cleanup after the cook this is my go-to now. This is a heavy pan, heavier than the 12" All-clad d3 pan, so you're probably not going to be doing fancy flipping with it. Nonstick pans have a short lifespan, but T-fal has been in the nonstick business for a long time and have figured out how to extended the life of a pretty fragile coating. tldr; A good value. A heavy induction/conduction plate fused to a stamped stainless steel pan, from an iconic nonstick brand. A reliable everyday pan.

My Choice of Non Stick Pan is T-Fal
I started off with a T-Fal set that included pots, pans, and lids in a lot of sizes. I like the look, feel, and functionality (non-stickiness) of T-Fal. I never put anything metal in them so I feel like they last a long time but they don't last forever. I cook a lot and the 12 inch pan is the most used pan in the set so it gets replaced more than the others. As long as T-Fal products continue to last me long enough that I feel like they are a good value, I'll keep buying. See you here again in 4-5 years.
