Great automatic faucet. Moen support is great.
Here are the positive points: Installation is relatively straight forward (for crawling around under a sink). The quick connects for the plumbing are quite easy to use and sealed up tightly. Once it was working, the faucet is great - one wave by the sensor turns the faucet on/off. It shuts off after about 2 minutes so you can't leave it on forever (that is a little inconvenient when washing up dishes after a large meal). You notice that the installation is 180 degrees off of the recommended installation, with the sensor on the right and the handle on the left. My spouse was very insistent that we find a faucet that worked with her right/left preferences. We just installed it turned around. I'm not sure you could do that with a backsplash that was close to the faucet, as now the handle goes down away from the sink. The only downside: It didn't work when we finished installation. The unit is electronically controlled (even with the handle), and we couldn't get any water to come out. The instructions were not very helpful, so after 20 minutes, we completely unplugged all the control and power cables, removed the batteries, waited 10 minutes or so, then re-installed them and it worked. Why it didn't work the first two times we did this, I have no idea. As a side note, all of the faucets in our home are Moen and their service and warranty support are great. Any leaks, or failures are addressed quickly and easily via email. Replacement parts arrive in about a week. But, you have to do the installation/repair.

Nice faucet for kitchen, works well, no complaints.
This new spigot was easy to install and works well. I was surprised to find that all of the water movement is controlled by electric valves inside a small box, so there is no water valve assembly within the actual spigot assembly. Most connections are easy to click into place and the battery box is mounted separately on the inside wall of the cabinet. The lever of the spigot is simply controlling an electric switch within the spigot assembly. That in turn tells the cold or hot water to turn on using electric valves within a separate valve and connection box that you have to screw into the back of the cabinet under the spigot. So far so good. We use it several times per day since June 2025 without any issues and still on original batteries now in Feb, 2026.

Amazing faucet! Overall elegant and functional A+
Such a great purchase! It totally changed the look of our sink from the chrome sink to matte black. Easy install and worth the purchase price! My only concern was the sensor seemed to stop working after a couple of weeks. Obviously I was frustrated, but upon further examination, I realized I set a soap bottle too close in the proximity (maybe 6”) and it caused a conflict. As soon as I moved the soap bottle the sensor started working again. User error but I didn’t know you couldn’t have things that close.

Bad faucet
I would not recommend because within 6 months the hot water sensor went out and the water started trickling down and I had to boil the water in order for me to wash my dishes. Faucet base started moving from left to right instead of being stationary. That happened because they used plastic washers for screwing the faucet in place. Also at my age if the batteries went out I would have to go under the sink to replace them.

Great buy, very satisfied
This faucet works better than expected with one exception;, the spray function. Very powerful spray, too powerful as it tends to splash out of the sink, if you turn down the pressure too low it doesn't come on. Also changing from spray to stream can be difficult, most times the button goes to off and when the button is engaged again it goes back to spray. To go back to stream you have to shut the water off then turn back on. The issue with the spray would not deter me from buying this faucet again , love the design the smooth shape is easy to keep clean and the brushed surface always looks nice. The sensor function works great and the biggest surprise was that the batteries lasted about 13 months with a family of six. The install was easy took less than an hour, I am handy but not a plumber, but the instructions were easy to follow. I did not by the power pack and opted for the batteries, the power pack was $90 and I can buy a lot of batteries for that price, especially only having to replace once a year. However I did relocate the battery case so it would be very easy to access, (front side wall of the cabinet) the blue sensor light begins flashing about a month before the faucet fails to work due to weak batteries, I don't use the sensor function all the time but so glad to have it when both hands are messy. When cleaning around it takes a bit of getting used to as it can inadvertently turn on when wiping the top of the sink on the sensor side until you learn to wipe with you hand in a lower position. In a short while we learned to not turn it on accidentally, I absolutely recommend this kitchen faucet and would buy it again my overall rating should be 4.9 not 4, hope this is helpful.

Good buy
I got this as a Christmas present for my parents. They love it. Surprisingly, the hand pass turn on function works very well. It’s now been six months and the finish still looks good.

One Of The Best Things I've Ever Added to my Kitchen
I have waited almost a year to write this review because I wanted to see how well the faucet held up. The simple answer is that the experience has been great. This is really a fine product and has given me zero problems. The installation was super easy, the hardest part of the job was the removal of the old faucet. The new one was in place and operating within just a few minutes after the sink was prepared. I can't imagine going back to a faucet that you have to actually touch to operate, when your hands are greasy, or you are holding a hot pan, a simple wave of your hand (or the hot pan) starts the water flow. A random moth did activate the faucet one evening, but I'm confident that the 2 minute timer would have turned the water off if nobody had been around as the timer has been a reliable feature in regular use. I added the AC adapter to my installation later for the added convenience and because I had a power receptacle nearby.

Okay product
The Good - I compared this with another model that had a sensor in the front. I am glad that this sensor is on the side of the faucet. Very smart move. Can't tell you how many times I accidentally turned the thing off while washing pans. Needs Improvement (for me) - let me preface this that this will PROBABLY not effect the majority of purchasers, but I am a cat owner. My prior faucet did not have the sensor work, unless the faucet was already ON. (The handle had to be pulled away from the faucet in order for the sensor to work.) This model does not work once you manually turn the water on. The handle being pulled out was a failsafe to keep my addicted aerated drinking kitty from being able to activate the faucet herself. Now I have concerns that my kitty will figure out the motion activation and help herself while I'm not around. The other model allowed for the temperature and speed of the faucet to be preset when turned off via sensor and the handle pulled out. This model only allows for the preset setting. I don't like this feature, to be frank. I have concerns it will turn itself on and off. I keep the motion feature off, unless I know I will be in the kitchen cooking and doing dishes, and turn it off once I am done. This almost completely defeats the purpose of this device. I paid extra for the wave feature, but ended up hating how it is set up. I just got my countertops done, and they took the old faucet with them, so I didn't bother returning this, although, i would have been tempted to as I had something better suited to me in the past. Install was clear and simple enough. No issues with the product. I wouldn't purchase it again. Even if I had a cat free home, I liked the idea of the sensor not being able to activate unless the handle was in the on position. It was an easy way to make me feel like the water wouldn't magically turn on with low batteries or a malfunction of sorts. I am less confident in this faucet. Overall, it's not bad, but I'd hoped for more.

Great Kitchen Faucet
Love this faucet. Easy and straight forward installation. Just wave your hand and it turns on or off. Works perfectly. Been using for about a month now - not sure how long batteries will last, but may go with the optional power adapter. Got it on sale - not sure I would pay full price as it is expensive, but great value on sale.

Finally, A Faucet That Understands My Struggle
As a parent, I’ve accepted that my house is essentially a crime scene of sticky fingers, questionable smells, and unidentifiable stains. But the **Moen Essie Touchless Kitchen Faucet** has single-handedly restored order to my life—or at least to my sink. The touchless feature is pure magic. You know what’s not magic? Changing a diaper and realizing you have to turn on the faucet without *spreading the evidence*. With this beauty, I can swoop in like a hygiene superhero—wave my hand, and BOOM—water flows without smearing my child’s “art project” across the handle. It's like Moen designed this faucet specifically for exhausted parents who have seen things no one should see. The pull-down sprayer is another gem. I can rinse bottles, scrub dishes, and spray down whatever monstrosity the toddler glued to the counter *last week*. And let’s not forget the soap dispenser. I feel like a Michelin-star chef, effortlessly sudsing up with a sleek pump instead of a grimy bottle with a questionable crusty cap. Oh, and the “Spot Resist Stainless”? It’s not a lie. I don’t know what dark sorcery Moen used, but this faucet actually *stays clean.* My greasy fingerprints and water spots have been banished to whatever dimension mismatched socks go. In short, this faucet is everything. It’s stylish, smart, and saves me from inadvertently redecorating my kitchen with diaper residue. If you’re a parent, germaphobe, or just someone who doesn’t want to touch a faucet after chopping onions, buy this. It’s the MVP of my kitchen—and possibly my life.

The product is sound! It's a Moen.
It took me longer to get the old faucet out than it did to put the new Moen faucet in. Have the autosensing feature is a god send. I highly recommend this product.

Moen Essie Touchless Faucet
The motion sensor only works with the faucet at the shut off mode. A drip of few drops of water after turning it off each time.
