These are truly heavy duty wipes that are quite absorbent. I love them! We also have used them to cleaan windows, and they hold up well. They don't leave streaks! They are so strong that you can use them as you would a cloth. I have used them for the last few months and will never go back to Bounty.

If you are old, like me, you may remember the days when you would pull up to a gas station and an attendant would come out to your car and fill the tank with gas, check your fluids and clean your windshield. When he cleaned your windshield, he would wipe it off, and clean your wiper blades, with a magical blue paper towel, that acted like cotton. It didn't tear easily and it would still scrub the windshield dry, even when it was wet. It was like a secret item that only gas stations had, and you wished you could have that awesome shop towel for your house. But you couldn't. Until now...The Sontara Multi-purpose Wipers are those paper towels. They are strong, even when wet They clean glass without leaving lint behind. And they are made in the U.S.A. This is a LARGE box of these paper towels. It very well could last you all year long. Unless you are an old-school gas station with an attendant on duty, then it might only last a month or so...These are probably best used in the garage because they are more expensive than your standard paper towels, but they can be used for a variety of things where a quality, strong-even-when-wet, paper towel is needed. My daughter does a lot of crafts and painting and these are excellent for cleanup, and they are excellent for the garage where you are working with oils and greases and need thick, absorbent cleaning towels. And for glass, they are second to none. Wish we had more products that went back to "old-school" like these.

Using these wipes/towels is like "Where have you been all my life????" We've used blue shop towels (the kind on the roll) before, but these are thicker, more absorbent, and a heck of a lot tougher. We used these to do some heavy duty cleaning in the house we recently moved into, and it was great not having to go through rolls and rolls of towels or creating a massive amount of trash. These towels stood up some pretty rough and dirty jobs without shredding or falling apart when used to scrub uneven surfaces like concrete block walls (basement laundry room).A few of the features we like:- The pop-up dispensing from the box is handy and more convenient when your hands are messy and you really can't fiddle with tearing a fresh towel off a roll.- These wipes do not leave behind lint, streaks, or scratches which makes them great for cleaning glass, shiny, or delicate surfaces. If you've ever used a flour sack towel, I would say that's the kind of fabric that these remind me of most.- A few times the hubby tossed in some of these towels into the wash with his other cotton shop towels, and they'd come out of the drier a little smaller but clean and whole. Depending on what the towels were used to clean up, we just chuck these in the laundry to be washed and reused. This has allowed many of these towels to have quite the extended life which in turn saves money since you don't have to purchase more and reduces waste.- Super strong - even when rinsed out/washed and then reused several times the towels held up. It really is like using a regular fabric towel and not one made from paper fibers.- The towels are nice and big, and usually one is enough to handle even big jobs.- We began using our case of these wipes around Christmas 2018, and because they are SO durable and can be washed and reused, we've not needed to buy paper towels in six months.We can't wait until these are available again on Amazon for purchase as we are down to our last box. Doesn't matter what kind of gross, messy job you throw at these towels, they do the job and do it well.

Exceptional strength in a woven fiber. These are very hard to tear by hand. Mechanical means are needed such as scissors or a knife. Strong but also soft and flexible. Absorbent. It will hold many times its weight in liquids.They are mostly non-lint generating and thus excellent for cleaning fine optics and glass for a lint free finish. Also great for installing screen protectors, cleaning camera lenses and other electronics. You get streak free window cleaning. The lint free properties make it very versatile for an exceptional cleaning.Good for heavier duty tasks like cleaning windows, car windshields, auto interiors, exteriors, bumpers and metals. Metal polishing. The soft texture doesn't scratch hard surfaces.There are so many uses. At around $0.25 per sheet they are significantly more expensive than shop towels or the like, but they can be a value when they are used in applications where re-use is possible. The strength and durability of the fibers make them long lasting in light duty use. They can be wetted repeatedly without losing strength. For example, I used one wetted with water and dish soap and another dry one to clean the entire glass on my SUV. I re-wet and rinsed and re-loaded the dish soap one many times without any issue. And the dry one does a great job at removing streaks, films and oils in order to yield a high clarity windshield. I am a believer now in these engineered clothes. I would never have considered them before being given some to review. The dry one did eventually leave some lint. But is was very little and it also didn't seam to stick to the windshield, rather being able to be blown off the glass with your breath or being removed with a quick swipe.There are both blue and white versions available in this 12" x 16.5" size. There are also others sizes like 9" x16.5", 15" x16.5", and a 12" x13" in turquoise. I still use the cheaper paper shop towels for use that gets them dirty and soiled fast like mechanic work, but for less dirty mechanical tasks, and many cleaning tasks I have now found the pleasure and value of a quality wipe. It allows you to do a better job and actually can make otherwise terribly boring tasks more pleasant. You can do more with less, and perhaps even for less (cost).Excellent quality and performance. 5 stars.
