Tube too long. Straps not comfortable...cut circulation

Mother in law prefers these to the ones provided by the doctor’s office. She likes this size for daytime and the larger size at night. The easy tap makes it so much better to empty.

I tried two different bags, but had the same problem with both of them. I couldn't get the urine to drain into the bag. Maybe the 30" tubing was too small (the OD was about 1/4") or maybe the one-way-valve at the top of the bag requires too much pressure to open. I tried moving, walking, jiggling the tubing, etc. Maybe the lack of drainage isn't a problem, but I didn't want my bladder to have to push urine through the 30" tubing - I wanted gravity to pull it into the bag. Tricky to use unless you have a fancy bag holder so the tube can wrap around your thigh.

Went to urgent care because locally catheter bag's cannot be purchased without a prescription. The bag we had was leaking at the valve so urgent care gave us a bag and same issue. Ordered this bag and it came in 3 days (beating the promise date) and this bag was sturdy and worked great. No prescription needed.
