Speed up your Lightroom editing experience x 100
I love finding somewhere to shoot, making people look great, lighting them, trying to get the perfect shot and taking lots of photos - the part I always dreaded in the past was the process of selecting and editing them in Lightroom with a mouse. Often I'd have a backlog of great shots which sat on my hard drive for months before I got to editing them because it took hours! Then I discovered the Loupedeck+ which took 5 minutes to set up, 5minutes to learn and has literally since saved me hundreds of hours in productivity. From quickly selecting shots to making miniscule tweaks to colours, Loupedeck does it all - intuitively enough that you can leave your eyes focused on the image letting your fingers change multiple settings simultaneously. Rarely do you need to reach for the mouse or keyboard and can also change two settings or more at the same time - something you can't do with just a mouse. This makes for a great working environment, editing a photo used to take me 10 minutes but can sometimes take me 30 seconds - and I've explored more possibilities and experimented with different settings. If I had to share a negative it would be that Loupedeck's software does struggle after Adobe releases an update to Lightroom, however the developers are very quick with bug fixes and pay attention to their active community on Facebook. Understandably it can be like playing a cat and mouse game with the latest releases but these rarely last more than a few hours or days before the drivers catch up - the hardware still works perfectly however there might be a function on a button which behaves differently but is never a show-stopper. The item is well made with tactile robust buttons, I've used in constantly for around 2 years now and not a single hardware fault. Maybe in the future if the cable has a fault the entire unit is useless, the cable isn't replaceable. If you are a professional photographer and your time is important I can't stress how valuable this tool is. If I was a photographer who had to decide on yet another new lens or a Loupedeck+ then the Loupedeck wins hands down every time. If you've never used Lightroom and are daunted by learning editing software then just plug one of these in and edit away with no learning curve - I now dread going back to the slow and limiting editing process with a mouse. Editing in Lightroom with a Loupedeck is now the part of photography I look forward to the most as it allows me to experiment and enjoy the process.

Mixed Feelings (update - DO NOT BUY!)
Its always easier to have a go at something than be nice about it, but the truth is there are some issues... - No feet on the back so it can only lay flat on a desk, which is frustrating as its not a thin thing like an apple keyboard, so mine is being propped up to give it an angle. - Tappy keys.. feels like a 90's keyboard and feels cheap. There's just way too much travel per press. - However my main issue is the app the controls it crashes A LOT! (I have a Imac pro) It has helped speed up editing my photos (a bit), and its incredibly customisable, and you could spend days setting it up. Gutted you can only use it for the listed programs as I would love to use it for illustrator... Would I recommend this to a friend? probably not due to the price and the issues. UPDATING MY REVEW.... DO NOT BUY! - Software doesn't automatically update, and stops working with new versions of adobe, so you have to go to the site and download the new versions. - No longer really works with photoshop RAW.. you can't use it to rate photos and you have to use your mouse to select things before using the Loupedeck+ basically its no bette that a standard keyboard now

Great addition to Lightroom
This is just based on a few days of ownership in which it did take a bit of getting used to is great in which you are not eyeing up your sliders while adjusting your image. its ideal for those minor adjustments and speed but there are a few things in which could have been better, 1st, the usb cable could have been removable as for people who have a hub on there desktop could buy a shorter cable so didn't have a metre of cable trying to hide. 2nd would have been those little legs keyboards have to angle them, I have used some bottle caps to angle the board as i find it too flat. and 3rd, an enter key, as when you click on export you either have to use your mouse and click ok or your pc keyboard's enter key in which if you have had to place the keyboard to one side is pretty annoying. Don't get me wrong this is a great bit of kit for what its intend but there is still some refinement to be offered in which you can put your keyboard to one side and just use this, hopefully in the next version

The idea of it is better than the product itself.
I bought this thinking it would revolutionise my life and editing. I used it for a while but honestly it became more annoying than just doing it manually on a keyboard or a laptop. I know friends that are obsessed with it but I just could never get used to it, it's a bit fiddly (I suppose that is the point) and as I flip between editing on a laptop and a desktop it just never worked for me. I like the concept and I do some times still use it but honestly I used it a few times and it's now just a very expensive paperweight on my desk.

A few issues, but go for it.
I saw a very brief mention of one of these a few months ago and instantly recognised what a brilliant idea it was, like having an audio equaliser desk, but for image/light editing via Lightroom. No need to fiddle around with a mouse, put the image into full screen mode and adjust all settings without having to take your eyes off the screen… The reality: a really slick web site and packaging (a thick brown cardboard lidded box, with an embossed black box inside which itself has a black embossed sleeve) gives the impression of a high-quality product, which it should be at £200! First issue, the unit didn’t sit flat on my desk, who wants a rocking ‘keyboard’ ? I contacted the support guys weeks ago, but no response. I found that the issue had be reported on the US amazon product page, with a solution from the Loupedeck support of putting it on your knee and bend it back into shape…. Well that worked and it has remained flat ever since. Other main issue is that it feels cheap, especially the large ‘control dial’ it wobbles around like a joy stick, but it isn’t. I have been using it on an off for three weeks. I am still not yet proficient with it but getting there. I still use the mouse, mainly for; cropping, straitening, applying the graduation filters and the spot removal tool. I have made my own personalised ‘cheat sheet’ to remind me what all the controls do, including the few I have customised. I really really want to love it. I do like it and will keep using it. It is worth £200? Probably, if you value your time, as it will save you loads of time and considering how much we all pay for our camera equipment and computers, go for it 😊

Perfect
Straight out of the box editing, it’s that simple, download the (mac for me) software and it works straight away. The build quality is amazing, touch and feel of the controls are perfect. I’ve not customised any of the buttons yet as I’m in the middle of a wedding shoot edit with time constraints. I am looking forward to customising it for myself. There are some reviews saying it doesn’t sit flat on the desk, this must be small problem as mine is perfectly flat. I’ve been able to edit photos in such a short period of time, and the biggest help I’ve found so far is full screen editing. Get one, you won’t be disappointed

Supersonic Editing
I deliberated over getting one of these for ages - After all, I was comfortable using the sliders and presets in Premier/Lightroom so why did I need a controller to do it? But wow, this has sped up my workflows dramatically. Just twist a nob to lift the shadows, drop the highlights, increase saturation - and with the amount of customisation you can make each dial your own! I chose this one over the newer, touch-screen version as I felt the more tactile nature would be easier to gain muscle memory when whipping through footage and photos. I recommend anyone else do the same, I tried both and this one just clicked instantly. My one wish is that this was either USB-C or better yet, wireless. But it works flawlessly and I'm really just picking for faults! Editing is nowhere near the chore it used to be, this is a delight to use and is a must-have purchase for anyone who edits a lot of videos or photos.

Spart viel Zeit beim Edit

Edit your photos in minutes
I have used it with LR only so I am speaking just for that. I am not a professional photographer but rather an enthusiast/hobbyst and I took a fair amount of photos that I like to edit. Pros - very nicely build and layout despite being all plastic - can customize it with the app. - allows to be more productive and makes browsing and editing lots of pictures a breeze Cons: none that I could find. Some more experienced/professional photographers may give a more thorough feedback but can find other reviews on the Internet Some may call it a gimmick but do not dismiss it until you try it, you will be pleasantly surprised
