IMPORTANT PRODUCT INFORMATION
This is a live, time-sensitive product. Please release shortly after arrival for best results. Do not leave in heat or cold.
This item is not comparable to standard retail products—proper timing and handling are essential.
Ladybugs naturally move across plant surfaces and foliage.
After release, some may remain nearby while others disperse as part of natural movement patterns.
Activity levels can vary based on temperature, time of day, and surrounding conditions.
This natural behavior is expected and part of how ladybugs adapt to their environment after release.
Store at 34–50°F for short-term holding.
Release at dusk or dawn.
Lightly mist plants before release.
For best experience, release shortly after delivery and avoid prolonged storage.
Can I return the product if I change my mind?
Due to the live and perishable nature of ladybugs, returns are not accepted. Please make sure you are ready to use them upon delivery for the best experience.
Why do ladybugs sometimes appear inactive on arrival?
Ladybugs may become less active during transit due to temperature conditions. This is normal. Allow them to rest at room temperature, and they typically become active again.
Are ladybugs safe for children, pets, and plants?
Yes. Ladybugs are non-toxic and are commonly observed around plants. They are generally safe to be around children, pets, and garden plants when handled as directed.
When is the recommended time to release ladybugs?
Ladybugs are commonly released during cooler times of the day, such as early evening or dusk, when outdoor temperatures are moderate.
How should ladybugs be stored before release?
If temporary storage is needed, ladybugs may be kept in a refrigerator (not freezer) at cool temperatures for a short period. Always follow the included handling instructions.
How many ladybugs are suitable for my garden area?
The appropriate quantity depends on garden size and layout. Smaller garden areas typically require fewer ladybugs, while larger outdoor spaces may benefit from larger quantities.
Can ladybugs be released indoors or in greenhouses?
Ladybugs may be released in greenhouses or enclosed plant environments when appropriate conditions such as plants and moisture are present.
Do ladybugs require moisture?
Ladybugs are commonly found in environments where moisture is present. Light misting of plants or releasing near watered areas may help provide suitable conditions.
Can ladybugs be released in cooler weather?
Ladybugs are more active in moderate temperatures. Releasing them when outdoor temperatures are consistently above cool thresholds is generally recommended.
Will ladybugs stay in my garden after release?
Ladybug behavior varies. Some may remain nearby if suitable outdoor conditions are present, while others may naturally move on. This is normal behavior for live insects.
How are ladybugs packaged and shipped?
Ladybugs are shipped in breathable containers designed to allow airflow and help maintain suitable conditions during transit.
What is the difference between the ventilated container and the breathable mesh bag?
Different packaging options offer different release experiences. Ventilated containers allow controlled opening, while breathable mesh bags allow quick opening. Both options are designed to allow airflow during transit.
What if some ladybugs fly away after release?
It is natural for some ladybugs to disperse after release. This is typical behavior for live insects and does not indicate a product issue.
Can live ladybugs be used for outdoor observation or educational activities?
Live ladybugs are commonly used for outdoor observation, classroom learning, and nature-focused educational activities.
They provide an opportunity to observe natural insect behavior in outdoor environments.
