This is the same part number that another site claims will work for my 2012 nissan altima 3.5 sr sedan, yet amazon claims it will not.will these work?

Installed them with black shims that they come on pads,anyone knows if that's ok, I didn't realize any problem so far?

I take it you are referring to the shims on the back of pad's? If so they are anti squeal/rattle shims that are supposed to be on the pads when installed
