### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 長い伝統を誇るイギリス/メリカ英語対照辞典

初版は1977年にEnglish Englishという書名でFacts on Fileより発行された（これに伴って翻訳版『イギリス/メリカ英語対照辞典』（研究社）も発行された）。Eugene Ehrlich & Richard Ehrlich の改訂により第２版(2001)と３版（2007)がCheckmark Booksにより発行された。書名もBritish English from A to Zedとなった。本書は第３版の再刷としてSkyhorseより発行された。従って「前書き」に多少の変更がみられるだけで､本体は第３版と同じである（本書の表紙及び扉に版数についての言及が無いので、2017年発行と誤解する人もいるかもしれない）。いずれにしても､本書はNorman Moss :British/ American Language Dictionary (最新版は1990年）と並んで、イギリス英語と米語を比較対照する場合役に立つ辞典であり続けるだろう。
