Great System, Super Quality, Awesome Deal
I purchased this system for my truck and travel trailer. The system is super easy to setup and I love the 12v plug. I didn't have to dig into the wires on my truck, just plug in the system. The power runs through the cable so finding power for the rear trailer camera is not needed like my old system. I didn't have to root out my trailer wiring to power the system. This setup doesn't use AVI cables which I never cared for. It comes with 4 pin connectors that fit snug together with a lock ring on them. Won't rattle loose or gather dirt . The monitor has a very sharp and crisp picture with many adjustments and settings. I have a 2 camera system with one on the rear bumper on my truck which I made removable and one on the rear bumper of my 19ft travel trailer which is the license bracket camera and is permanent. I only use the truck camera when backing up to the hitch, remove camera, unscrew the camera lead, screw into trailer lead and I have my rear view camera behind the trailer. It's a great view out the back and I can see traffic behind my trailer clearly. It also is super for backing the trailer into a spot. Love the system and I can store my components inside till I need them. Super quick setup...less than 5 minutes when I want to use it. They sell this system with one camera....and they don't sell the additional camera separately. Once you purchase the system above.... read the manual and brochure ! There is an e-mail address you contact for cool stuff. There's a couple of different gift packages that are free...yes, free. I thought right. I wrote and ask for the second license plate camera which was package #3. To my surprise I was immediately contacted by Kayla from customer service and was told my camera is on the way...Really? Cool... Still skeptical, I waited and dang if it didn't show up as promised. Wow...truly free with no shipping! Please read all the literature closely and claim your free gift. This is a great offer if you want an awesome system with free components. All for a good price. Superb Customer Service and we need more sellers like this. Constant communications which kept me informed. Can't say enough good stuff about these guys and I love the system. The quality is top notch compared to my old system which I paid more for. Grab one of these. The price is well worth the products quality...Thanks YAKRY ( and Kayla )

Easy install and great camera.
I bought this for my 2008 Ford Escape. It was installed in less than 2 hours and has been working great since. A few things to note. Test everything before you do the install. This is designed to attach to license plate mounts. On my Escape the license plate is on the hatch, so I chose not to mount there just because running the wires was slightly more difficult than I wanted to handle. Instead I mounted it to the bumper. I drilled 3 holes in total. 2 were 1/8 inch holes for the camera bracket itself and one was 1/2 inch for the cable from the camera to the power and screen. I also used marine grade sealant to plug the screw holes. I used a rubber grommet for the larger hole for the cable. I only drilled through the fiberglass, but wanted to lock the screws in with the silicone. The grommet is just to keep the wire from rubbing the edge of the hole in the fiberglass. The wiring was the most complicated part just because I didn’t know which was ground and which was live because my wires for my backup lights were all dirty and wrapped in tape. Once I sorted that out, the connection was easy. Then it was running and hiding the cables to finish it off. The cables from the camera to the tail light were straight forward. Hid them behind the bumper and zip tied them to the other wiring bundles. Ran the power cable from the light through the back of the tailgate through a small hole in the frame. From there it was just push it under the edges of the trim on the driver’s side. I ran it under the driver’s seat and then under the center island until I reached the tail coming off the camera. The monitor is great as well. It’s clear and bright. It also has a metal plate on the back to attach with an included magnet mount. Once the camera was install, adjusting it was easy using the four buttons on the back of the monitor. You can adjust color brightness, contrast as well as the various angles of the assist lines. Based on the breakdown of the grid, it seems like the green indicates about 4 feet in distance, yellow is 3 feet and red is 2 feet or less. I was so impressed with it, I ordered a second one for my sons truck. If something happens (camera stops working, etc.) I’ll update this review.

Great product at great price
I'm using this with an extension cable to see behind my 22' boat when I trailer it. So far works great. Will be headed on a long trip with the boat in a week and I'll update if anything changes. Was super easy to install, provides nice picture quality. The kit comes with a lot of flexibility for ways to connect and I love that it includes both a backup wire or a cigarette adapter option for power right in the box (most just have a power cord and you have to buy an adapter if you want the cigarette adapter). The cords are plenty long for about any kind of car (I needed an adapter for my boat, but the cord goes out the back of my Tahoe and about 4' up onto the deck of my boat with enough slack for turning). I'm also impressed with their customer service...they offer a free window mount and a second camera kit (even free shipping), which I am taking advantage of. Have not received either yet, but have emailed back and forth a couple times to get the information they need to send me the free items and they have been very polite and responsive (though their English is not exceptional). I do wish the camera had an option to turn off the backup distance bars (some cameras have a switch or at least a wire you can cut of you don't want these), but at this price I'm not complaining. Overall a solid system for just over $30!

Simple to install, and works great for my purpose (rear view camera.)
I have a school bus I am converting into a motorhome and I purchased this camera to install in place of my rear view mirror (since I can't use it through my walls.) I have not permanently mounted it yet, but tested it with daylight, in total darkness and tested how it responds to headlights (both low-beam and high-beam.) Full daylight provides a clear enough picture; not top of the line, but it definitely serves the purpose I got it for - to see behind me while driving. Full darkness is very grainy, so I won't be using it without reverse lights. Partial light (such as with backup/reverse lights on) produces a nice, clear, black and white image. It actually takes very little additional light, and doesn't seem to matter if the light is white, or even amber. I don't have hours of use yet, but what I have seen indicates it will be fine for the rear-view use. The components are well built, and easy to install. Took me less than five minutes to set it all up and test it using the provided cigarette lighter plug. The display screen is responsive too (actually had to back up because it was responding faster than I expected.) Some complain about the display angle being too narrow, but when mounted to the top of my bus, I get plenty of range. If someone needs more view, they can get the second camera (free, for now after purchase of this kit) and mount the cameras towards the outside edges of their rig. If you are looking for a decent rear-view camera, at a reasonable price-point... look no further.

Great for seeing what's behind while on the highway!
I recently had the need to do a long distance drive in a 16' box truck without a passenger to act as a spotter for me. So I needed some way to be able to see what was behind me, and especially to my right while I was driving. I decided to try this camera as a temporary rear view. It worked perfectly! Due to the placement of the license plate it wasn't going to work to attach it to the license plate, so I used some A/V gaff tape (essentially high quality duct tape that removes without leaving residue) to tape the camera to the back of the truck, and used more gaff tape to tape the video cable along the side of the truck up to the cab. Although the display had a suction cup option, I decided to just use the cup holder to hold the base in position during the drive so it wouldn't block my view out the windshield. This camera/monitor was a lifesaver in situations where I needed to be sure that the area to my sides was clear when changing lanes, and it also worked perfectly when backing up so I knew how close I was to obstacles behind me. For the price and ease of use, this camera and display worked perfectly, and gave me much more confidence while driving! Would 100% recommend it for anyone else in a similar situation.

Minimally Useful
I mounted this camera on the rear of our 24' toyhauler, just under the flood light at the very top of the ramp door. It sits about 9' off the ground. Installation was easy and I had no trouble running the wire where I wanted to. The wiring itself, though, is cheap and flaky. If you jiggle the connections, even with the locking rings securely fastened, the image on the screen will cut out. You have to get everything held in place just so, then tape the cable down or otherwise somehow fix it in place so it can't move. I got one replacement harness from the seller and that was a little better, but the image still jiggles from the 23' foot cable going from the camera to the harness. Not sure I'll bother trying to get that one replaced, too. Once you get an image it's nowhere near as crisp as what's shown on the listing. It's OK, but doesn't by any means have the contrast, detail or color depth the listing shows, regardless of any adjustments that can be made to the monitor's display. I haven't tested it at night yet, so can't comment on any aspects of that. The screen also needs to be mounted so you can view it dead on, otherwise a slight angle can make the screen image dim quickly. The backup lines are just that: strictly for backup. I've seen some cameras that allow you to turn them off or on whether you are in reverse or drive, but not this system. You would need to somehow connect the "reverse trigger" wire to be energized at all times. However, that would probably also continuously energize the night vision LEDs and burn them out well ahead of schedule. Why would you want the backup lines on when you are driving forward? Because the biggest weak link of this system is the extraordinarily wide angle view of the camera, and the backup lines MIGHT give you some rough estimate of how close behind you other traffic is. Having used this system several times now, I can clearly state that its only real value (at least as an RV rear view camera) is in detecting whether there is someone directly behind the camper or not. For traffic in a lane to your left or right, the camera view is so sweeping that by the time a vehicle is close enough to you to be able to identify it on the monitor, it's already practically right on the camper's rear bumper. What appears as a dime-sized blob on the screen (Is that a car or a truck?) is actually so close it's already fully visible in, and fully filling, your side view mirror. You really cannot safely use it to determine if it's OK to change lanes or not unless you see absolutely nothing at all on the monitor (or in your mirrors). That may be OK on the open highway, but once you get in town and everyone is tailgating or cruising in someone's blind spot, this camera will definitely not give you peace of mind when changing lanes. I thought perhaps changing the "zoom" setting to 4:3 instead of 16:9 might help, but all that does is prove that the 16:9 setting merely stretches the 4:3 image to fill the screen. There is absolutely no different in the image content itself. I was hoping I could actually zoom the image to make it more closely resemble real life, but the "zoom" feature is just a toggle between 4:3 and stretched 4:3. The optics and usefulness of this camera MAY be different if I mounted it much lower on the camper, but I doubt it. It needs to be high enough that a car behind you doesn't take up the entire screen and you need to be able to see what's BEHIND that close car. If you just want to know if someone is behind you in your lane, this system is OK. If you want to rely on it to see if it's safe to CHANGE lanes, don't. The image is just way too wide-angle to be useful for that. I rolled out a tape measure and had my wife stand at 25' behind the camper, then put small strips of white tape on the monitor to line up with where a car would be at that distance. I haven't tested that out yet, but that would be the minimum safe distance for changing lanes IF the traffic isn't fast approaching. If this system had a more natural angle of view, that "calibration" wouldn't be necessary. I shouldn't have to be so fixated on the camera image, trying to determine what I'm really looking at to figure out where the nearby traffic REALLY is, that using this setup makes driving less safe, not more. You should consider this system to be an accessory to, and in no way a substitute for, your rear view mirrors.

Good Camera and Very Clear
Installed Camera in side by side so I can view objects from behind. Towing a log out of the forest, I can see what is happening. It makes it easy for backing up with trailer to pick up logs. Instructions for installation are very clear and gives three different options to hook up. Works well .

Excellent Product – Highly Recommended!
I haverecently installed the Car Reversing Camera Kit, 7 Inch AHD Dash Monitor Reverse Camera (Yakry Y14) on my Ford Transit, and I’m extremely impressed. The installation was incredibly easy and took just a few minutes. The picture quality is crystal clear, even in low light, and there’s absolutely no lag in the display. I was pleasantly surprised the quality annd purchased couple of the accessories, including the cigarette lighter splitter, which was very useful and saved me from buying extra parts. The waterproof camera works perfectly in the rain, and the night vision is excellent too. Overall, a fantastic product with great value for money. The seller was highly professional and responsive. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable reversing camera setup for their van or camper!

Outstanding Value, Credible Vendor
I have installed many rear view camera systems over the years using both wired and wireless technology in a variety of price points. Without question, this system is not only the best design operationally, but also from an installation standpoint as the wiring provided is absolutely brilliant. There is a short molded transition cable that takes all the bulk of the wiring from the cameras, the power supply, and the reverse priority wire and delivers their functionality into a high tech cable connector which feeds everything through a small 1/4" diameter cable into the display system. This allowed me to deliver a very professional installation with no wires on show. The vendor was terrific and assisted me after the original purchase with a second cable and camera. I used a 23 foot cable to have a camera on the Suburban 2500 for daily use as a backup camera and the 66 foot cable for placing the second camera on a towed trailer as appropriate. The view on the monitor is bright and clear. The operation of the system is mindless. Basically, in day to day use, if you put the vehicle in reverse, you immediately see what is behind you on the monitor. For other operations, just select on the monitor buttons which camera you want to see on the screen. The effort put into this installation was well worth the outcome. This is a quality product offering outstanding value right down to the 3 year warranty. This is my new go to system for customers. Please note that in taking photos of a screen, you will not get the quality you see on the screen in real life. The cameras in this system provide the driver with a really wide view of the area being backed into. To give this perspective, in the photo you see backing up to the garage, the rear of the suburban was 20 feet from the house which has an overall width of 30 feet. As an install tip, I installed the vehicle camera in the indent where the trailer connector and hitch are located. Like all flat backed SUV's, while the back of the vehicle gets filthy very quickly when driving, the indent area at the hitch location, if so equipped, does not. I hope all of this helps.

Great setup for a truck and trailer!
Bought the dual cam setup, installed one on the truck so I can see the hitch and connect easily. Installed the other one at the back of my enclosed trailer, works great to back it up in a parking stall in a storage facility. I adjusted the backup lines to match where my ramp opens to, so I can park in a street with other cars and still open the ramp without having issues. It's also great to be able to keep an eye on things while driving with the split screen. Installation of the whole unit was fairly straightforward, wired the power to the radio so that it turns on as I turn the key in the truck. The lines you see in the pictures are from the camera on my phone, there are no lines on the actual screen, and the quality is pretty good. The mounting brackets for the cameras have a good amount of adjustability to set them up at different angles. Have been using this unit daily (it's a work trailer) for almost a month now and so far, so good!
