Useful, Compact, Good Light
This compact light source should be useful for our next RV trip. So far, we've just used it on our back deck and found the light sufficient while we ate our supper and sat around chatting. I didn't hear any mosquitoes getting zapped, but will give it some more trials and update my review. It has an outer white casing that covers the bug zapper part when you are just using the lantern. There are 2 buttons. Press the left one 3 times to see the different levels of light. Remove the outer white cover with a simple twist to disengage the bottom lock. Put that cover under the lantern as you see in the picture of the product. Then press the right button to activate the zapper. It gives off a purple light which is to attract the insects to be zapped. The handle folds down flat for easy storage or flips up for carrying. I had an S-hook on hand which I used with it to hang the lantern from our deck umbrella so the light spread over a larger area.Ours arrived fully charged and ready to use. It comes with a USB cord for recharging. The information on the box doesn't explain how to clean the zapper, but now I see a graphic above in the product details where you can spray water right on it to remove the dead insects that might accumulate.

Compact addition to camping gear
Not a bad little light combo. The white bottom unscrews, flips and the bugger zapper part stores inside of the white bottom. The white part just applifies the light basically.Light has 3 settings and will definitely light up the underside of small tent or umbrella.Thought the bugger zapper part would be gimmicky but I took it out and held it near my front porch light and it immediately started attracting gnats and little flys. Everything I saw fly into it didn't leave.Nice little addition to the camping kit, without taking up a ton of room.

Make the Outdoors Livable
The light is cute in appearance. The led has several degrees of intensity for when you need a light and I think the UV is effective. I have placed the zapper in a corner by the entry door into my kitchen from the garage where I was bitten three times in a short period before placing the zapper. A few days later and I think that the zapper did significantly reduce the mosquito population in that specific area. I think it would be equally effective in a tent or around a picnic table.

Doesn't work
For the past month I've had a rather annoying gnat problem that I wanted to take care of since the usual vinegar trick didn't work. I was skeptical as to how this would work considering it was so cheap. My skepticism was proven correct as it lead to none of the gnats being killed. Pass on this and get a real bug zapper. As it os now, its nothing more than a glorified night-light and flashlight.

Nice!
It is very handy as a camping light. I didn't notice it "zapping" any bugs though.

Bright compact camping light/zapper
Nice compact camping light / big zapper. It does not require batteries since you charge it with a usb cord (included). It has 3 light settings. I will add photos and a short video. Hope it helps! ;)

bugs hate this
it is small size for camping but I hung it in my back yard and it worked. Notice that the light is in blue but it changes to light yellow under camera lol. As you can see in the photo there are some bugs in there but need to rinse with water, otherwise you can't clean those dead bugs inside there. Also there's a LED light at the bottom. Really convenient and worth to have.

I was actually going to return it but canceled my return because it turns out that the light is a pretty good one
I bought this because I was hoping it would kill mosquitos on my porch when I'm sitting outside in the evening. It does not. After using it every day for a week, I did see one mosquito in it. I was actually going to return it but canceled my return because it turns out that the light is a pretty good one. It won't light up a large area but I can see around my feet when I sit it on the concrete right by my feet. We've had a couple of large snakes lately and I use it when I stand outside to let my dog out at night. Even though I can't use it for what I'd hoped to at least it serves somewhat of a purpose so my money isn't completely wasted.
