At first I thought I made a mistake and should have gone with ceramic. This was my first time using stainless steel and I noticed the discoloration and weird film that a lot of people mention after cooking and cleaning. Also the food was sticking pretty bad.I almost gave up, but I tried Bar Keepers Friend and they came back looking shiny and brand new.I decided to give it another try today because these are the only pans I bought when I moved into my house and I had no other choice. I looked into the proper cooking with stainless steel method, everything changed. I made sure the pan was hot enough using the water drop test and used more butter than I normally would. After that, no issues at all.I made chocolate chocolate chip pancakes and they turned out perfect. Then I used the same pan for eggs and they cooked beautifully with no sticking. Cleanup was easy too. Next time I’ll try with less butter but it’s a learning process and I’ll be using these for a long time so I’ll get better.Overall these pans are a 10 out of 10. They are beautiful, high quality, and work really well once you get the hang of them. There is a small learning curve, but if you practice a bit and keep Bar Keepers Friend on hand, they are totally worth it.
