Works well for my senior cat, he started eating more readily witht this is in his food

My 13 YO Yorkie basically stopped eating. He only weighed 9 to begin with, and dropped 2, down to 7. He was slowly starving himself to death. Took him to the Vet, borderline kidney failure, so got him on meds but still having problems getting him to eat so through research I found this product. I was hesitant because of some one-star reviews. Decided to give it a try anyway as he needed the calories and nutrients. It arrived a day earlier than estimated, was in good shape, and packaged fine. No broken carton, no spillage. The top under the cap had a safety seal on it. I shook and gently messaged the bag to make sure all was mixed, then popped the top. It looks like thin oily peanut butter. It also has a similar taste (yes, I tried it). My little feller will eat pumpkin, and peanut butter, so I put some on a teaspoon and he licked it right down. I have high hopes this will help put some meat back on his bones but this is the first day (01/10/25) so hard to tell at this point. So far so good, and it certainly can’t hurt to get those extra nutrients in him. Good luck and god speed to all. Update 01/13/25: I know it’s early, but wanted everyone to know he’s gained a pound in 3 days. He is back to eating his “Loaf” brand dog food. Still mixing in the Miracle Vet. Also, from the Veterinarian visit, I picked up a product (prescription only) called Entyce that supposedly enhances/stimulates appetite. Whatever, he’s gaining weight, has his appetite back, and I’m a Happy Camper. Update 06/18/25: My little feller has gained his weight back and is eating normally. I am no longer using the Miracle Vet as he is eating just fine. I have been mixing a couple of tablespoons of Beef Broth into his Loaf, which he seems to like. Hard to tell cuz I don’t speak Yorky and he doesn’t speak English. Anyway, I am going to credit Miracle Vet with getting him on the road to recovery.

Our Chihuahua was so sick and weak. She could hardly walk. We thought she had gallstones because her liver enzymes were high. One ultrasound later, found that it wasn’t that. But she had lost a lot of weight from a thin, finely tuned body. She lost her appetite and was wasting away getting weaker and weaker. Seriously thought she wasn’t going to survive. I found this. Thought, she needs nutrition and calories right now, before she reaches the point of no return. When you weight 6 pounds, all muscle no fat, and you lose one pound, that is serious. She lost muscle tone because she had no strength. We started feeding her this weight gain paste with a syringe. Twice a day, and boiled chicken, sweet potatoes, green beans, whatever we could get her to eat. Along with pro-pectalin paste in the syringe. After a week, she started to get up, after two weeks she was walking again. Three weeks in she started to eat kibble and was strong enough to walk to the end of the block. Four weeks and she was going around the block and up and down the ditches. Today she picked up a toy to play catch me if you can, her favorite game. She is still not herself but so close. She likes the taste now, I don’t have to coax her to eat it. She eats other foods, but she still gets the paste. My chunky monkey begs for a lick, but she is half a pond overweight and when you weigh five pounds, that makes you start to look like a sausage. My skinny baby is filling out. Her hip bones have a little cover on them, her ribs aren’t so pronounced, there is now something between her spine and her fur. It really is a miracle. It brought my baby back from the brink. Her poo is soft ,frequently, but the pro-pectalin keeps it solid. When she recovers, she will get a maintenance dose as needed. I will always keep this around now, keep away from my eater, but give it to my picky girl to keep her healthy.

The new pouch, with the picture of a cat & dog on the label, rather than the old purple and white, seems to have changed. I have been using this stuff for years, since the old purple and white plastic cylinder containers, and it had been working well. When I got the new two pouches, in my latest subscribe and save order, they seemed almost balloon like, which I just figured that they had been filled under pressure, initially. I opened one, it smelled okay, and I used it as I have been using it. One of my cats is 16 and has CUPS (mouth sores), so she gets fed meat babyhood mixed with other things like broth and a tablespoon of this to give her more calories. She had been doing fine, and has been eating the same mixture including this for over a year. When I made her breakfast a few days ago, with this new pouch, she immediately threw up after eating. I figured it was just a thing, so I gave her some saved in the fridge in an older batch, using the older Miracle Vet (chilling them works better for her sometimes) and she ate that fine. Later, I tried the newly mixed batch, with this new Miracle Vet again. Again, immediate and violent vomiting. I waited a few days (not adding the mircale vet to the mix, and she ate just fine). Then I tried some with the new Miracle Vet added and she immediately threw up again. I need to see about a refund on these, as either they have changed something, or they are contaminated somehow. I wondered about the balloon-like inflation of the pouches and now I'm wondering if it may be due to bacterial biological activity and resulting gasses (as I said, it did smell normal when I opened it). I am very disappointed as this worked so well for so long, I went through dozens of containers of Miracle Vet over the past few years, and now I need to see about returns (it costs too much not to) and find an alternative additive to give her more calories. Anyway, I'll be curious to see if anyone else reports problems with this latest batch in the new pouches. I should sit down and compare the ingredients, since I still have an old MV cylinder around (but not a purple and white pouch, unfortunately I threw my last one out when it was empty). I made check the local Petsmart or Petco to see if they have any older pouches of MV.

When nothing else seemed to help my 20 year old ginger, Sam, this stuff worked. Most of his teeth were removed to improve his health and he was having a difficult time eating. It seemed to frustrate him and he stopped eating as much. Hence, the weight loss. After giving him this formula, his appetite returned and a plus to it is that his fur looks better and his energy level is also better. He had also stopped jumping up and stopped running. He does both now.
