This was an exact match for the old CDI box AND the exact same as the cdi box on my 9.9hp 2 stroke which is also mid 80s. I knew this motor was getting a no spark condition and replacing the cdi box resulted in beautiful blue spark.The wire colors all matched my motor except for the two wires going to the ignition coils but that was not an issue since if they are backwards the motor will not run and you can simply swap them to correct it.The wiring connectors and rubber insulation over the connectors worked perfectly with the stock stator wires which seems to be something that other Chinese made cdi boxes get wrong.One question I have for the manufacturer is do these boxes have a rev limiter built in and if so what is it? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ great item *by A***S on July 4, 2025* Works great, installed easily and motor started right up ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheap and good powerpack *by R***S on April 10, 2023* This powerpack works perfect on my 1996 Mercury 8 hp.
