DualShock 4 Wireless Controller for PlayStation 4 - 500 Million Limited Edition [Discontinued]

I absolutely love this controller II I pulled it out of the box I was just blown away for my expectations were set a lot lower just because the pictures seem to give it a different type of look almost like a matte finish but it is far from that it actually has a beautiful glossy finish and don't worry if you're worried about if you'll be able to get a firm grip on this you most definitely will despite being as glossy as it isI have never ever been a fan of see-through controllers or systems or really anything see through and yet this beautiful translucent blue has absolutely made me change my mind about that completely my original choice for a new controller was going to be the new model of gray metal that PlayStation put out along with the dark blue one but after seeing this I decided to take a chance and let me tell you I most definitely glad that I did and I do highly recommend is controller to anybody out on the market right now searching for one or even simply for collection purposes.I'm so blown away with this controller that I'm even going to pick up a second one to keep us a collection or who knows maybe one day I'll have to break it out let's hope it never comes to that but I definitely do love this controller a lot

Incredibly glossy

Very disappointed in this particular version of the DualShock controller. Bought one, which had "drift" out of the box. Amazon replaced it, and that second developed the same problem ..... just outside the return window.These are the only two, of more than a dozen DualShocks used among the 3 PS4 consoles in our house, that have had this problem.I am skeptical it's a coincidence, will not buy any "special edition" controllers going forward.I don't think these are designed any differently from 'regular' DualShocks, but Sony seems to have dropped the QA ball on this one.

Before my review, I'll repeat this warning: if you're considering buying any discontinued/limited edition PS4 controller, you'd be taking a risk buying one used. Many people report that they receive counterfeits. New is a safer option, though I still checked to make sure mine was real.I needed a new PS4 controller as well as a new PC gamepad. I liked the look of this one the most, and I'm also kind of a sucker for limited edition runs. My current PS4 controller, also a limited edition, is getting worn down, and I'd like to retire it while it still mostly works.I bought this controller new, and I'm happy to report that it looks and feels completely genuine. I put it through its paces by playing a fast-paced action game for a while, where button input timing is critical. Upon first using it, I became aware of just how worn down my previous controller was. The buttons on this one are firm and responsive. I'm not yet able to comment on longevity or long-term reliability, but so far the controller has worked perfectly. If I run into any issues I'll try to remember to update this review.(I enjoyed writing the next part a little too much. TL;DR, controller looks great.)But if you're considering a more expensive, discontinued limited edition controller, then you probably care about appearance as well, not just functionality. This one does not disappoint. Unlike most of its peers, it neither shies away from color saturation to the point of dullness, nor does it wear brightly ostentatious colors that would make it the envy of Nerf guns and waterguns alike. The top half is a deep blue, glossy enough to make it look like glass. The plastic is transparent, but the color adds opacity, almost like a wine bottle. You barely see anything under the plastic, save for glints of blue-dyed light reflecting off shiny metal components. The bottom half is duller, matte, and textured for grip. I usually don't like such juxtaposition of color and surface texture, but the design is unified through virtue of the buttons and sticks sharing the bottom half's color. Finally, the pleasing copper-gold color of the print provides good legibility against the blue. Its sparing use makes it, in my opinion, a small yet essential detail that completes the look. The color design seems subtly sophisticated, and it's a nice change of pace from the extremes of simple/practical/dull and loud bright color for color's sake.There's a couple downsides to this controller's looks, though. Residue from natural hand oil really stands out on the glossy surface. I might get a no-scratch cloth so I can wipe the controller down once in a while or before guests come over. Also, because of its deep color, it's hard to fully appreciate its looks unless you're in fairly bright conditions, but that's a minor point.I'm very pleased with my purchase, and I can't wait to use it for PS4/PC games for a good long while!

I bought the 500 Million LE DualShock 4. The controller itself feels great to hold like all other DualShock 4 controllers, but the top plate is glossy and very smooth. At first it feels different than other DualShock 4's on your palms, but you end up getting used to the feel. After long play sessions I was worried that the controller would feel slick from possible sweaty palms, but it really doesn't end up being too noticeable.

This controller is easily one of the most comfortable, easy to use, and good looking I’ve ever seen/held in my LIFE. The controller comes in a well designed, modern looking box with some instructions and what features the controller has. The controller itself works like any other Playstation controller and adds no competitive advantage. The sleek look with the slight transparency goes phenomenal with any dark/light blue setup. Would recommend this controller to any gamer looking to spice up their decor.

WOW!!! I've been a PS gamer from Day1. I just went from a Good PS4 Controller to a Great PS4 Controller. It has an Amazing Silky Smooth Feel to it. Game play on this Beauty is Fantastic. I'm thinking about buying a second one as an unopened collectors item or for when this one wares out. I highly recommend it.

Well unlike many others I got my 500 million ps4 pro before they all sold out, so it wouldn’t do to have 2 mismatched controllers. The aesthetics of this controller are what separate it from the rest, even the new ones Sony are releasing. The copper accents with the deep blue are very complementary. One thing I did though was wait until the prices went down to something more reasonable when ya factor in shipping rates before the resale, I was making sure there was as minimal profit for those who mass bought for resale. And despite the rederick these controllers wont continue to be valuable with the ps5 on the horizon so any reseller sitting on them will one day soon have a controller (and machine) that is behind the times and no longer desirable.

I will say this, this controller looks 10 times better in real life.Pictrues/ Youtube Videos dont justify the beauty of this controller, i held back on buying this controller at first because it was an extra 30 bucks from the other DS4 controllers but it paid off! Not only is it the best looking DS4 controller but on top the grip on the top is super nice!

The color is vibrant and looks epic!! For collector's, it's a MUST have!! Kudos to the team that had the idea for the color!!!

I purchased the product new. It is a genuine Dual Shock 4 controller made by Sony.The quality is too, and the design and feel is nice. I highly recommend purchasing this controller while it’s still in stock as their is only a limited amount.
