I have several burn scars form oven racks so I bought for myself and gifts for two family members. There are enough in the pack for you to fully cover 3 racks but cutting one. When you do cut them they slide right next to the other so it’s not noticeable. Like the little teeth grippers. They easily let you go over perpendicular bars. Now I have a gas stove where the others don’t. Mine has turned shiny black in areas. Looks melted. It doesn’t wash off. I’m not sure why. I didn’t spill anything as we only made pizzas on a stone. But I noticed more shiny black spots. All in all I like that I’m not getting burned anymore.

Rack shields do great protecting my hands from accidental burns. The mitts don’t protect well at all.

Well, I thought I was going to warn everyone not to use your oven’s self-cleaning cycle while these were on the racks, however, a number of people beat me to it! I didn’t think to remove the guards before cleaning the oven, when I woke up to this white powdery mess and I can’t get the powder off the glass window or the light bulb in the oven!!! Now I can’t see in the oven without opening the door! I tried sos pads, magic eraser ... nothing. I guess I’ll try vinegar and baking soda or something. The rack cleaned up with water and the oven surface I had to wipe down every square in and crevice!!!! The top of the oven is permanently white.

I bought these oven rack shields after seeing the ones that my friend had on her oven shelves. I have burned my hands & wrists a few time too many, even with oven mitts on normally. These shields just give additional protection from hot oven shelves. They were pretty easy to put on the oven shelves & have been very durable, standing up well to the oven heat. No melting or deterioration has occurred. I gave a couple of them to my son for his over as well. I also appreciated the addition of the two mini mitts as well. They work well also. Highly recommend this product.

These are great! There was a burnt smell for like a week or so, but it went away. I’m very happy to have them as I have burned myself several times taking things from the oven. I have hit these several times with no burns. They do get quite warm, but not enough to burn you.

The oven rack protectors were easy to install. I have not used the “rack grabbers” as much but was pleased with them when I used them.

I liked that this product did work and the added pair of silicone finger mitts that are good to use lifting hot pics of pots, etc. What I hadn't realized and surprised me was that the rack guards were so short. I have a very standard 30" stove and can easily burn my arm oh any part of the front of the racks. These protectors are only 14" (36cm) in length. Therefore 4 of them on the package and I only use 2 oven racks, so I cut one on half and used 1 1/2 rack protecters on each rack, which covered most of the racks. On the sole, I was satisfied with the purchase, but wanted to make sure others bother to read the size of the protecters to make sure they meet their needs.

We purchased the pack containing 4 red silicone oven rack shields plus 2 red silicone mini mitts in November ,2018.The rack guards installed easily and give excellent protection when reaching into the oven ; the red colour makes the front edge of the racks very visible.The mini mitts protect the hands well when removing hot items from the oven.The mitts and guards are very pliable and easy to work with.We are very satisfied with our purchase.Al Pickering ...
