Good brightness and color - A bit large for some fixtures
I thought I would give these a try in my old under-counter lights to replace the halogen bulbs that get super hot and burn out frequently. I was able to get one installed in the fixture after bending the leads on the rather large capacitor on the back of the disk the LEDs were attached to. I also had to bend the leads forward a bit as the disk would not go all the way into the fixture with the rear shield in place. I could probably remove the rear shield as the LEDs generate very little heat and since all the light comes from the front of the disk there is no need for a reflector. Light output from these disks is superb, brighter than the 10W halogen bulb it replaced and color is about the same, maybe a bit whiter. Overall I am surprised and happy with these, but beware these will not fit in all under-counter fixtures without serious modification.

Very Happy So Far
I spend about 300 days a year in my RV style big bunk semi truck. I cook, clean, and go to school in this space. I have weak eyesight, but with clear bright white light, my eyes don't need to work as hard. These LED replacement bulbs produce the kind of light I need to be comfortable. Some would describe it as the type of light that you would find in an office building. However, it's not fluorescent light, just a pure cool white light. This can be much harsher on the eyes than the warmer yellowish type light, especially first thing in the morning. After two months of pretty constant use, they show no signs of wear. The only caveat I had was that the packaging did not protect the bulbs and they were bent in shipping. My husband reshaped them, since I was afraid of breaking them, and they installed just fine after that.

Very bright, but no warranty!
Wow! These things are really, really bright! I used them to replace traditional under-cabinet lights in my kitchen and they almost have too much brightness. In one area where I had three 10W halogen bulbs I've cut back to only two of these to light up a 7-foot length of countertop and it's still plenty. They run very cool; they throw an almost unbelievable amount of light and the seller (Brightech) is top-notch. I'm buying more for everywhere I can use these to replace hot, finicky halogens.** Update 1 **I ordered a bunch of these items for under-cabinet use in my kitchen. They are having a failure rate of about 33% after a month or two. The "Five Year" warranty mentioned in the item is totally non-existent. After one bulb failed out of the box, Amazon promptly refunded my money. After a second bulb failed I contacted the seller (Brightech) and inquired about the warranty. I did get a prompt response from the seller inquiring what the problem was. I let him know that a second bulb was failing and asked about a replacement. No response. None. Silence. Now, I've got two more that are going bad in less than three months, and I've got a non-responsive seller who won't stand behind the "five year" warranty.I'll update my review if I get satisfaction from the seller and they stand behind their warranty, but for now, the high price and low reliability aren't worth the bright light they produce (while they are working).

arrived fast and fit just fine...bright...but wonder ?
My initial concern was would they fit my Ikea cabinet puck lights? They did just fine. I only bought one as a trail. They are bright and direct the light all "downward" (I also bought a few of the "round" LED types and those are 360 degree light and obviously use the reflector to maximize the lighting)I have no clue if they will remain "durable" and not burn out as some reviews indicateThey are a tad pricey as I need 24We are so used to "UL approval" in the US...I wonder if I am being blind to buying these w/o some oversight/review/safety approval ?????

Had to return one, defect contact pin.
Very fragile contact prongs, I think one was loose when I plugged it in, it just tore off the unit. Some G4 sockets are tight, I'd be very careful with these. It still worked, but I didn't trust it to not completely fall off, the circuit board wiring looks SO fragile.Typical G4 halogen bulbs that most are replacing are much more robust for handling and insert into sockets easily....I returned the defective bulb, may re-order, it was very bright, I'll give it 3 stars though, it was probably just the defective one that slipped through production.

White light compared to soft yellow RV lighting.
Bought 6 for my Montana RV. I had to snip off a little of the leads to fit my lights but that was easy. I broke 1 trying to set it in the housing. 1 burnt out after 1 month of. Normal use in the kitchen. They are a white light compared to RV lighting which has a soft yellow color. My wife says the white light has no oviance. I like them because there's very little heat given off by them.

Great light, difficult to plug in
Great product, produces good illumination from our existing G4 recessed fixtures. The prongs would benefit from some deburring on the end. The original bulbs have rounded end making insertion easier. I fractured I solder joint inserting one of the the I installed. The location was the most difficult of the three fixtures. The ease of insertion is night & day between your product and the original bulb.

Extremely bright and efficient light to replace halogen bulbs.
I used this bulb to replace a halogen bulb under my microwave oven. The halogen bulbs were a warm white and burned out very often. This bulb is much brighter, whiter, uses less power and lasts longer. It is not dimable, but it clearly does not claim to be. The form factor of this disk shape is not a direct replacement for the halogen bulb I replaced, and I actually had to trim the plastic socket that held the old halogen bulb to get this to fit...I will not recommend it as a direct replacement of a JC type G4 bulb, but it is a good upgrade if you can make it fit in your application.
