OKD Farmhouse Lateral File Cabinet with 2 Drawers, Antique White

WOW!! I'm very pleased with the purchase of this file cabinet. First off it arrived a week earlier than promised 👍 Second,"some assembly required"( that is an understatement) it came in a million pieces with not so easy to read instructions so be prepared to spend at least an hour putting it together( or have your hubby do it like I did) but once together I was so impressed! High quality and very sturdy! The drawers hold legal or letter size files and open nice and smooth. Nice spacious top to put your printer on. It only lets one drawer at a time open so no worries about knocking it over. It doesn't lock but I didn't care about that. Very nice file cabinet!

The look, the price, the shipping, the packaging, and everything else about this piece of furniture is great....except the assembly. It should be understood for the price. It took me 6 hours as a 1 person assembly, which is not recommended. The instructions, pay attention to the way the drawer sliders go on, important. Plastic hardware for filing has held up but we'll see. Nice piece for veneer finish. Assembly is intense. Good luck.

This is a great file cabinet with loads of storage. However, it is really heavy, and has a lot of parts to assemble. It took me 2 days to assemble on my own. I recommend having a helper to make the work go more quickly. The instructions were fairly simple and the cabinet is beautiful. I added caster wheels (also bought on Amazon) to make it easier to move around if necessary and they are a big help in positioning the cabinet in the room. I like that there is a locking mechanism inside to keep the drawers from sliding open. The cabinet is as pictured.

This was the file cabinet I was looking for! I'm so pleased! It took a while for my husband to assemble, but once he finished, I quickly perused all my files, got rid of a lot of them and nearly filled this cabinet with what was left. It is a really pretty addition to our living area and fits right in. 5 stars for beyond my expectations. Would definitely buy again. Strong, sturdy and lovely.

Attractive and functional. Not bad putting together, your typical cryptic annoying instructions. Good value.

I got this cabinet and the corner desk of the set to go in my coastal themed loft office. It’s beautiful furniture that you have to assemble yourself. You will need 2 people ideally. Time it takes to assemble is strictly subjective to individual time availability and schedules. I took a couple hours one night after work to open, inventory parts, and carry them upstairs. I took a second night after work for about an hour to inventory the parts. Then I and my spouse took a weekend to assemble it over the 2 days working about 3-4 hours each night, at an easy pace, not rushed.The graphically conveyed instructions (not written step by step but pictorial instructions) to this cabinet were excellent and we found no errors or confusion. Really great.They give you a bag of “spare parts” which includes a duplicate of every part needed to assemble, and this was a super professional thing to do that one doesn’t see done much, if at all, anymore. Even though we didn’t need to use any, it was a much appreciated consideration, because if they didn’t include them, we’d probably have needed every one.The furniture is laminate over compressed heavy particle board - it’s tough, heavy and very durable. It’s what I would call well done and functionally beautiful furniture.Now for the reasons I give a 3 star review instead of a 4.When we were assembling it along, it became obvious, when a light hit a part just right, that the corner of that part was cracked pretty good including the laminate all the way through and appeared to be repaired, we figured at the manufacturing level, so make of that what you want.Now, when I unpacked and did part inventory, I scrutinized every detail of every part and completely missed this due the, frankly, good repair and lighting was different. I took pictures the best I could to show what I’m talking about.Now, understand, we were far along in the assembly and this was a drawer, so we talked about it and decided to keep going after examining it thoroughly. We figured it was an area that will never show, nor was it load bearing so it should all be ok. So there’s that. It’s not excessively cheap furniture and requires our time to assemble it, and our time is actually a value to us, so we figured to let it go and kept going to completion.The hanging file frameworks are all plastic, which mine were all deformed as well. This was a huge negative on this design as it was a bad choice as one can’t use them for intended purpose in the real world due to the fact they are PLASTIC and not metal.So, I have to buy a separate metal frameworks from the office supply to use cabinet for intended purpose: Hanging files. We were pretty put off by this actually as it really was a cheap move unnecessarily. Made no sense. I’ve never gotten a filing furniture piece that didn’t include a METAL frameworks. Pretty bad.Another reason for a 3 star was the anti-tipping method they employed for this cabinet to prevent it from tipping forward from the wall. I never saw a company employ this method. Ever. For. A. Reason. Let me explain, and see pictures I included with this.I always securely attach furniture, with drawers especially, to the wall, and most all furniture makers include an “anti-tipping hardware kit” with the purchase of their products. So did this company. But unlike all furniture kits I’ve seen and used in my life which mount on the back of the furniture piece in such a way to be unseen, this company has you mount the kit to the DECORATIVE TOP of the cabinet and to the wall. It rather blew our minds when we saw it.This method they wanted you to do to your new cabinet destroys the decorative top, it’s incredibly ugly and visible, and it eliminates the smooth top surface so you can’t put a protective glass top on it, or even a cloth runner. I have had protective glass tops custom made for all my furniture for my entire adult life, as it’s a cheap solution in the prevention of all the inevitable damage that occurs to unprotected beautiful furniture tops for its lifetime. And it actually enhances the natural beauty of top as well.So. I improvised a safety solution which also kept with room’s theme and the fact my cabinet was placed against a railing and not a wall, which other kits consider, but not this one. See pictures.

Very beautiful cabinet. Seems sturdy. Took 4 hours to put the cabinet together that includes taking everything out of the well-packed box. Everything was labeled & went together perfectly as described in the directions. I had no problems following the directions. It took 1 1/2 hours to put both drawers together & insert in cabinet. I recommend this cabinet! I would make anything from this company. They did a good job making this cabinet easy to assemble.

It is a nice addition to my home office equipment, although the assembly instructions were sometimes confusing having to use just a picture to try and figure out what went where in some instances. Otherwise and good value.
