They work well. They tighten up nicely on the wiring and once complete and covered with heat shrink are good. Easy to cut out for. Solid mount up.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose this product because it was what I needed and was available in a timely manner. Once received it was apparent the quality of both the design and materials was lacking. The design of the chassis panel retaining tabs assures you that you cannot achieve a tight fit on thinner panels. It appears the materials used for the actual contacts are not what is specified for a type K thermocouple which most likely accounts for the minor offset in temperature. The wiring attachments are cheaply made and do not support a reliable contact for your thermocouple wiring. You can make this work with patience but for those of you familiar with Type K TC products, this is disappointing and somewhat frustrating. However, the product does work with some limitations..

Unlike other similar looking connectors for thermocouples, these don't appear to have high quality plastic material (generally I've seen glass-filled material), and for best accuracy Type K thermocouples should use connectors with the same metal as the thermocouple ((chromel–alumel). The two prongs of the male connector like identical as far as color and shine, so I'm guessing these are NOT the correct metals. These connectors will make a connection I'm sure, but be aware that there is a reason why they cost so much less than competing thermocouple connectors.
