Good simple design, excellent quality and very easy to assemble.
Before I start, I have not slept on this yet, but having assembled and layed on it for a bit it seems very good value for money. I'll update the review if there are any problems after properly sleeping on it.I got this bed to replace my old first generation, ultra-light camping bed. I've used that heavily for a few years, and a couple of the aluminium poles have now split and the outer poles have warped. Although it is still servicable, and I could replace the pole sections, I wanted a nice new one instead. I chose this as a replacement for a few reasons, partly it looked a lot more solid, the sleeping area is a bit larger then my old bed and I like the red/black colour scheme.Overall the design is very good. I think in the long term, four or even five legs instead of three would have given it more strength, but the side rail tubes are very thick (about 22mm diameter) so I expect them to hold up well. Fewer legs of course means that it packs down smaller and is presumably cheaper as well, since there are less parts. Although if size is an issue for you, packed down it is more than double the size of the ultra-light type of camping beds. The quality seems very good (material, stitching and annodising), and there are some well thought out features like small pockets at the open end of the sleeves to hold the side rails in place. The hand grip tensioning system is the best part, and means no more standing on the side rails and bending poles to assemble, very easy indeed.

Lightweight, but shockingly overpriced
Lightweight, which is good. Paid far too much for what they are, though.

Clever, Light weight, Comfortable
Superb and light weight - used for a month under canvas in the Sahara. No heaving at sprung legs to build. A rivet has dropped out of a leg but not an issue and i will replace it with a bolt. Low slung so fits a small tent. Use with a self inflating matress.

Comfortable and robust, best camping sleeping experience ever, thanks!
Lighter and more comfortable than an inflatable, low enough for small tent and tall occupant.I particularly appreciated the way the crossmembers lock in place, making it quick and easy to assemble, and the locking mechanism releases is sturdy and secure, yet easy to pack away. The box rather than tube section of the legs gives better rigidity, and 3 legs sufficient, intelligent design, and good quality.

Great value
Solid sturdy, well made and well designed. A breeze to asssemble and very comfortable. I go backpacking and this is a bit on the bulky size compared to the ultralight versions of the cot beds but i think it will last a long time and was incredible value for money. Well done ALPIDEX I will be looking for your other products in the future.

Not fit for purpose; don;t buy it.
The materiel is too wide for the frame & therefore sags when you construct it rather than go taut. That means when you lie on it you actually touch the floor.

Flawed design
The legs have a tendency to fold under load, particularly if you move a lot in your sleep. I've lost count of how many times this camp bed has collapsed under me in the middle of the night now, and for the price I think it's very poor value value for money.

Worth the money
This product is as good as it was described, well made and of quality. The package is small and portable - I plan to take it on the back of my motorbike for away trips. Assembly is simple once you've done it one time although you need a bit of strength to achieve locked closure on the legs. Once assembled it seems very strong. I would point out that the material is very tight which means it is quite a firm lay so the addition of a self inflating mat is something to consider.
