Works great even for tiny little button quail eggs that we have struggled with previously!

By far the best candler for egg testing. I have three different brands and this is the best. Even illuminates the chick development through my very dark speckled olive green egg shells.

I wanted to hold off doing this review until I had a couple hatch outs with my incubator. I can't suggest this candler enough. This light is a great price and perfect size to keep next to the incubator. It feels very well made and durable and it's brightness options are perfect for use. I was able to track my egg development and easily see which eggs were failed and when they stopped developing. I've already suggested this model to my father and would suggest it to others.

Handy candler. Portable for ease of candling eggs in the coop at night, or indoors with incubator eggs. Without the battery, the solid metal casing is lightweight, sturdy feel, and a hexagon barrel for a comfortable grip is a plus. It comes with a large rechargeable battery, and USB battery charger. Be sure to remove the plastic/paper disc, spot glued on one end, used for protection during shipping. LED light keeps eggs from getting hot, which is an issue with a standard flashlight. Sits solidly on chicken egg, and also on small bantam egg. Bright light is enough to help see through darker eggs, not 100%, but I saw more than with my modified flashlight. One star ding, due to failed instructions. It had a blowout diagram of the flashlight, but no mention of removing the paper safety shipping disc. I had to look it up on Amazon's description. I get it, it is a flashlight, but a little blurb or add in the diagram the disc with the words 'Remove', would help purchasers from getting frustrated at the get go. Which, in this case lost a 5 star rating. Instructions had a well done explanation on how to candle eggs, what to look for, along with colored pictures. Price was comparable with other candler lights.

This light is amazing ! Very sturdy and durable .Easy to place the battery directions come with it very simple to use and I saw all my babies the whole way up to they hatched!!! It was definitely worth the money ! I recommend this to all my family and friends

Bought this a year ago, used it a few times. Pulled it out to use it the battery is dead. The negative is that the description said AA battery. It’s not what it uses. 2 of these batteries are 13.99. That’s not helpful now.

I was surprised at how bright this little candler is. You can easily candle even brown eggs with this device. Pros: - Very bright - Easily fits in your pocket for portability - rechargeable battery Be careful: - the battery comes with a little round protector on the flat end that is easy to miss. If you don't remove it, your candler will not work and you'll think it's broken. I didn't see this in the instructions although the instructions are VERY small. I included a picture showing the protector on the end. - The charger shows the battery fully charged even with the flat end protector in place. So this is misleading.
