Q: can it be used with sunscreen cream?

I use St. John’s Wort oil daily on my face as a natural sun protector. In March I start applying it all over. Use when skin is damp from bathing. When I go into the sun I reapply as needed. This past summer I took on a golden glow.. I NEVER tan and I burn very easy. Sunscreen actually makes me feel like I burn easier. You can apply under sunscreen for added benefit if you like as the oil does not block rays. I prefer this as I am Vitamin D deficient. This past summer I was able to be in the sun here and there without sunscreen and my vitamin D levels increased. I tried 50,000 IU Perscription from doctor and it did nothing. I live in the US in a nothern state that doesn’t get a lot of sun. If I lived in a sunnier area I would add sunscreen if I was exposed to sun for long periods of time.

Q: Will this help piriformis/sciatica pain in hip and leg joints?

It helped somewhat. Best thing that helped my sciatica was water exercise. I also had some steroid injections in my back, too. Good luck. Give yourself time to find out what works for you.

It is extracted into Olive oil.
