This soil is very nice, but the price is way out of line, It is about a dollar per pound. I purchased 25# x 2 bags. Locally a family member found the same caliber of soil for a shade less then $27.00 for 4 bags at 25# each. I was taken one time, will not buy this brand again due to the price. I am pretty much home bound & didn’t want to impose on anyone, my mistake.

My container garden is bursting! I’m using this rich soil to grow tomatoes, peppers and strawberries in containers on my balcony. I already have large plants bearing fruit.

I like that this soil is black, moist enough to work with and very little wood pieces. It does have a tendency to be clumpy but I don't mind that as much as too much perlite and wood chips. I have purchased this many times and have been very pleased with my plants. I am giving it 4 stars because it does have gnats or whatever those annoying pests are.

I have tried NUMEROUS Potting/Top Soils. Some have been disasters, performing miserably on starting plants from seeds. NOT BACCTO!!!!Hands down the BEST PERMORMING potting soil that I have tried, and I have used over 25 different manufactures. Plants started in this soil take off like light with rocket fuel. There is no valid comparison to this product. .

Very disappointed with this soil. I usually purchase the “lite” version with the yellow flower, but was trying to get more soil for my money. Lots of debris in soil that wasn’t beneficial to the plant. Half of the bag was Big clumps of dried out dirt. Won’t order this again. I’ll stick to my local store where I usually purchase this product. Convenience is not always positive

Baccto Premium Potting Soil is the best I’ve bought in several years. I didn’t find any woody pieces which seems to be in many bagged souls.
