Real Cooking Mini Tart Maker, One Size, White/Purple

Do you enjoy messes? Do you like complicated instructions that are impossible for a child to follow? Do you like every surface of your kitchen to be sticky? Well, then this is the product for you! Nothing in this set is clearly labeled. The instructions and measurements are largely unclear, and the finished product is repulsive at best. Most "toy food" is less than appetizing, but these were especially rough. It's unclear if the included scoop is supposed to be used to measure the water to be added or which package contains icing and which contains batter. The instructions are very poorly translated.I would definitely not recommend this product. Although I will say, the price is low enough that if your kid just HAS to have it, you at least won't break the bank for a silly experience and a messy kitchen.

I ordered this during a sale, so I guess I don’t have any real complaints about the price, but figured it’s best to warn other purchasers that this is a big hot mess! We weren’t able to make as pastries as we were supposed too, the icing leaks and it’s a mess and the press itself just isn’t super high quality. If given the opportunity to purchase again at the lower price, I probably still wouldn’t. It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve purchased, but definitely a let down.

Maybe she went wrong on the recipe or maybe not but these were the kind of things you have to smile thru to eat to make your daughter happy.

This was a really cool idea and made a great gift! It comes with recipes for making additional pop tarts but it would be much easier and more convenient for parents if we could just buy refills. They do not make refills for this at all. They taste about as good as any made-at-home re-creation.

It’s fun, but MESSY... My 4yr old & 11yr old had a great time bonding, even though the 11yr old did most of the work, lol... I also recommend getting pastry dough already made...😉

Parents beware! I did not buy this on Amazon, but felt like I had to review it to spare any other family from purchasing this disaster. We bought the donut kit a few years ago and loved it, thinking that this would yield similar satisfaction. Let me start by saying, my husband and I are pretty skilled in the kitchen. We’re not experts, but definitely capable of cooking up a kids pastry kit. Now - for the issues... For one, the box says it makes 8 pastries. We were lucky to have enough dough to make 4. Our other issue with this kit is the “filling” aka straight up icing that is in the center. While baking it oozed out and left awesome hard candy on our baking sheet. Not to mention the mold is just not that great. But the other disappointment is the white icing which is suppose to be piped on afterwards. As you can see from our photos, we didn’t even put it on because it was so runny it would have just poured out of the bag. We ended up using the “filling icing” to decorate because it was a little thicker. It gets 2 stars because despite being a complete mess and poorly designed, it was still pretty tasty.
