Fred Joaillier - Assouline Coffee Table Book Hardcover – November 15, 2016

Fred Samuel is an important jeweler to know and value for his design chops, celebrity clientele, and working in Paris during the Hitler years. [He opened shop in Paris in 1936.} HIs success is even more impressive given the challenges of that time. But this book is an expensive disappointment--more PR than informative, more surface than depth.Greatly overpriced, but underserved in terms of adding to an understanding of Fred Joaillerie.

While the photography in this coffee table book is outstanding, I was looking for a lot more written content about the jeweler. For the cost, it was a big disappointment.
