So far so good. I've had this hose reel in operation for about a month now. I've used it pretty regularly for air tools in an automotive setting. My pet peeves with previous hose reels has been a crappy retractor and crappy hose. Both of those seem to not exist with this reel. The retractor is solid and immediate. The hose is more of a pvc grade than traditional rubber so its more pliable and user friendly when working in the tight spaces of an engine compartment. I suspect it will continue to be a 5 star purchase and will up this review if something changes.

I got this retractable air hose even though it was $30 more than other similar products but in this case it seems to be worth the extra $. As the other reviewers stated, it does not leak at all. The spring is very strong, and you need to be a bit careful when you retract the hose or you may find yourself whipped really good! Hope it holds up but only time will tell.Use hex head bolts to mount it as getting a screwdriver on screws to mount it is hard because of the angle. Don't forget quick release air fittings - use the standard kits available everywhere.

Really good product. I like the hose, the reel, and the way it swivels! Very pleased with the purchase. Only reason i took it down one star is mounting. You can't remove the bracket to mount, so you have to slide the bracket down on the screws. It works, but i prefer to mount more securely as there is the chance of it getting bumped up and off. I finally put a screw above it to make sure it doesn't happen. It's a work around, but think they could improve the mounting for such a good product.

Easy to install, the hose is very flexible in cool temperatures, the reel retracts and extends smoothly. I can't believe that I struggled with a lousy Harbor Freight plastic hose that would stiffen to the point of being unusable below 50 degrees for all those years. Yes, it's expensive, but it works perfectly. Do yourself a favor, just buy it.

Hose is the correct amount of flexibility. Not to rigid yet not so flexible that it will kink easily. I will be using this in my garage and not in an environment where it my see lots of abuse. Since I will be the sole person using it, and since I will be taking care of it, I expect it to last for a long time. The lead-in hose is not very long so you will need to adapt to what ever length you may need by adding to it. I added an additional length of Goodyear hose using a stainless 3/8" coupling. I hung it on the wall, in studs, about 6 feet high. It only comes with 2 bolts/nuts/lock-washers. If you want to mount to wall studs then you will need to get the appropriate hardware for that.

Quality materials and construction. Hose is very flexible and long enough in length for a variety of uses around my shop. I really like the fact that the assembly pivots 180 degrees depending on the direction the hose is pulled from. Locks very well with just a slight tug and a quick jerk on the hose unlocks the reel and allows the hose to be retracted with a steady positive pull. One of the features which help determine my purchase as that the reel is fully enclosed rather than open as some of the other more pricey hose reels.Very happy with purchase !!!

Thing is smooth man...Description is spot on! Host is thick, pull system and retract system works flawlessly. Anchorage was a breeze as well. Spend a tad bit more then the other systems but I'm not trying to repeat the expenses time and again. If you want something to last just spend a couple extra dollars and grab peace of mind for years to come.

I fought air hoses for years because the auto reels were too big to fit by my compressor. This reel is compact and swings out of the way when not in use and it makes my garage look like I know what I'm doing.
