I loved these old school barrettes. They’re easy to open and close and hold my hair tight especially with sports and activities. These work like nothing else. I’ve used other brands and they are too difficult to open and close. When you don’t want to fuss around with your time and money, trying random brands, these are guaranteed to work.

These type of barrettes have always been my favorite and I was so happy to have found them at such a reasonable price and fast shipping. They hold a good amount of hair without pulling or falling out of place. They aren't heavy on your head, you actually don't feel them. The metal is sturdy and beautiful.

There is one style of Goody Barrettes that I cannot live without -- the flat silver barrettes in this package, with the slight engraving pattern. My baby-fine silver "old-lady" hair slips right through most barrettes, but these hold well enough that I can attend a meeting or social engagement and not have my hair slip through! A couple of times one has slipped out when I left them in at night, fallen under the bed, and I was distraught. Then I found that Goody still sells this package on Amazon, with two of each style, and the price is right, so I have a back up stock of them. Thank you Goody!

These are just the right length and fastening is the right way, but I do have difficulty closing them, due to my fingers and nail trying to accomplish it - problems of aging, not the barrettes. I'm trying to learn different ways I can accomplish the fastening. One needs to place pushing finger at almost the very end of barrette to make it close easily, which is why the 4 stars. Again, most customers probably would not have this issue. If you know another trick, please respond.

Great barrettes. I have really fine hair and I’m able to put my hair up in these guys and they stay put and look great the whole day. Nice material. My hair is also pretty thin so it’s been a struggle to find ways to put it up that look good and hold up all day but these guys do it. They’re the right size and weight for the amount and type of hair that I have. They look great all day without having to redo every so often like I was used to doing with other clips. They aren’t hard on my hair and causing any breakage either which is great. Because it always seemed like the trade off was if something was hardcore enough to stay in my hair it caused a lot of breakage but then if it was loose enough that it didn’t cause breakage my hair was falling out of it moments after I put it up and needing to be redone frequently.

Yes, they give a tight fits but are difficult to garner hair into evenly. I would not purchase again. Also? That much HARDER to UNDO when you need to.

I have used these type of metal barrettes for years! The larger ones I had been using didn’t offer enough holding power for my thinner hair, so I bought these! They have worked great! I have shoulder length hair and due to my age it is somewhat thinner! LOL!

they are easy to put in and stay in place are a good size and match any attire.
