What can i do to stop my propane tank from freezing in at night in the florida summer? this is connected to this generator. help!

If the small propane tank freezes, it means that the consumption is higher than the gas produced by the liquified propane in the tank as explained by another user. To fix this, you can purchase larger propane tanks (100 lb) instead of the small "BBQ" type of tank OR you can connect several BBQ tanks, which together (Maybe 4 or 5?) should produce enough gas to keep up with the generator demand....

Has anyone gotten a good propane consumption rate yet? The description seems too good to be true....20 hours on a bbq tank.

DuroMax 13000 EH at 50% load on Gasoline 5250 watts shows 8 hour run time on 8.3 gal. Propane at 50% 4988 watts shows 6 hour run time on 8.3 gal. Gasoline is 124,000 Btu/gal, LP propane is 91,330 Btu/gal. A 20 lb BBQ propane tank holds 4.6 gal which will provide about 3.3 hours of run time at 50% load, and 40 lb tank holds 9.2 gal and will provide 6.6 hours of run time. A 20 lb BBQ tank weighs about 17 lb and holds 20 lb of propane = 37 lb. I plan on using a 40 lb propane tank at total weight of 74 Lb and use a dolly to move it around.

Is the propane hose included?

Just fyi.. IF you are wanting to do something to the unit that doesn't state explicitly in the manual.. i.e. "converted to run from LP Gas to Natural Gas" you will want to contact the manufacture directly with that question.. Asking the general public is not a safe way to get your answers on something that is ONLY designed and indicated to work with Gasoline/Propane only. Not trying to be rude but that is a REALLY good way to get hurt or ruin the unit, so I would suggest getting your information directly from the manufacture if it involves trying to alter the way the unit is designed to work.

What are the physical dimensions of this generator. Description says 28x30x40, thats huge. Is that right? Is that length width and height? 40" tall?

I believe the 40" includes the handle length, not the height.
